More of a lover of a good story than just horror, but for someone whose world got tossed and with a shattered heart? Looks like the cure is decent horror! Art-alan Roberts

I added 3 helleborus plants today to my shade garden. I’ve always been fascinated by them. Hellebores have such a Halloweeny vibe. Even their name sounds mysterious. For me it’s not about their toxicity—every bit of the plant is poisonous—but because they bloom in winter.

If you haven't seen this, do watch it.
Finished re-watching what has surely become my favourite 'spook related' movie of all-time - again - last night... 'The Legend Of Hell House'!❤️🙏 (I'd actually began watching it the previous evening, but the link I was using kept cutting out, unfortunately!😠) It's always been

Back in the Revolutionary War, a patriot miller was running a mill along the Tar River near Tarboro. A group of British soldiers trapped him, dragged him down to the water, and decided to drown him right then and there. Right before they shoved him under, the miller gave them one final warning. Kill me, he said, and a banshee will hunt you down. The soldiers laughed it off and ended the man's life. But the laughter didn't last long. That very night, a bone-chilling scream echoed across the riverbank. A ghostly female figure rose from the water, her wails tearing through the dark. One by one, those same soldiers met mysterious, gruesome ends along the banks. Locals in Edgecombe County say her spirit never left. On quiet nights when the mist settles heavy over the Tar River, you can still hear her calling out for justice.

It was a freezing night in January 1949, deep in the dark fields just south of Grove City, Ohio. A Greyhound bus was cutting through the shadows when its headlights suddenly swept across something impossible on the tarmac. At first, you'd think maybe a deer had wandered out from the tree line. But this thing moved completely wrong. According to witness accounts preserved by researchers like Karl Shuker and Loren Coleman, the beast stood roughly five and a half feet tall. It had a thick, brownish coat of fur and a long, pointed head. The strangest part wasn't just its shape it moved like a kangaroo, yet strangely bounded along on all fours rather than upright. Before anyone on board could make sense of it, the creature sprang forward, cleared a tall barbed-wire fence in a single, effortless leap, and vanished into the winter mist. Cryptozoologists call them phantom kangaroos mysterious out-of-place macropod lookalikes that pop up across America, completely divorced from any zoo or wildlife park. Some skeptics suggest it was just a spooked deer caught in the glare. But Louis Staub, watching from the bus, was certain of one thing. It definitely wasn't a deer. What's hiding out there in the American night when the highways go quiet?

To me this is the perfect movie. Not much is known about the antagonist (John Ryder). Less is more. Like Michael Myers in Halloween 1&2. That’s what makes horror so appealing. You don’t need to know every single detail about the killer. #TheHitcher

In 1901, two Oxford academics visiting the Palace of Versailles claimed they walked through a sudden, heavy mist and stepped straight into 1789, witnessing people in 18th-century clothing and Marie Antoinette sitting on a lawn. The Moberly-Jourdain incident remains one of history's most famous time slip claims. Do you believe places can trap and replay moments from the past?
