hello!πŸ™‚ i (jpn admin) would like to make a general psa. it has been brought to my attention that the eng trans for BOTH hitori no yoru AND ring on genius lyrics have been posted as a direct copy-and-paste of my own jpn->eng translations without any permission or credits. +

3. the user who uploaded my translations has been issued a warning by genius, and genius is currently looking into how best to address the issue. in the meantime, the existing webpages have been taken down. +

unlike with official mvs with company/staff-provided english lyrics, these lyrics were interpreted and translated into english by a fan who received NO monetary payment. all i ask is to be recognised for the work i did with my own hands..!πŸ™ +

unsure if this thread will reach the person(s) who uploaded these lyrics to genius, but as a general PSA going forward, please do not assume that it is okay to reupload translations we have done onto other platforms without giving proper credits. thank you for your time☺️

i'm sorry; i couldn't say his name initially because a huge part of me is still denying that this is real. rest in peace, moonbin. thank you for everything you did, and for everyone's lives whom you touched.
