I am almost finished reading one of our Bookclub books and find out one of the characters is ill! Always surprises me when I see brain cancer in books! Maybe I notice more because I’m a survivor. @BrainTumourFdn

VicPD is warning the public about recent extortion attempts targeting residents through emails containing the victim's personal info and demands to be paid by Bitcoin. Below is one of the attempts reported to us recently. The fraudsters claim to have access to personal videos and say they will release the information publicly if the victim does not pay. It can be alarming to receive a message like this, but remember that these claims are fake. Remain calm, be vigilant and report suspicious activity. Learn how to protect yourself from fraud: vicpd.ca/fraud Report fraud or extortion attempts: (250)-995-7654 extension 1.
