ALT A visualization of LuGRE's world records in transit to, in lunar orbit, and on the Moon. The graphic shows the progression from Record 1 at 205,674 miles to Record Two at 243,000 miles and then Record 3 on the Moon. The Earth in the top left corner and Moon toward the right side.
ALT Close-up of the full moon, with craters, basaltic lowlands, and bright grey highlands visible in detail.
ALT A waxing crescent Moon during is pictured from the International Space Station during an orbital sunset as it flew 268 miles above the Pacific Ocean east of New Zealand.
ALT The last rays of an orbital sunset dim in the Earth's atmosphere as the International Space Station orbited above Niger on the African continent.
ALT The fading light of an orbital sunset barely illuminates Earth's horizon and reveals an atmospheric glow as the International Space Station soared 267 miles above the Indian Ocean southwest of Australia.
ALT The city lights at the intersection of Europe and Asia sparkle underneath an atmospheric glow and a starry night sky as the International Space Station orbited 262 miles above into an orbital sunset.
