“CHRIS PAUL HITS A HUGE THREE TO CUT THE LEAD DOWN TO 42”
This happened in the Pitt vs. Miami game! Malik Knight looks to come down with the football for a touchdown, in fact, the side judge is staring right at his foot. It goes to review.
Unlike the past reviews we heard, this ref actually wants some feedback and does not just go along with mission control. The determination was no catch due to not enough evident to overturn the play. Agree or disagree. According to the replay rules, it was the right call. I thought it was a touchdown. This goes to my second point.
With AI making its way into sports via the way of measurements in football, goaltending in the NBA, and ABS in baseball, could we see in the future, situations like this where AI clears it up and get the call right? I think it will. I asked AI to clean up the footage and it was a touchdown.
