Workers in Bangladesh are shutting down factories and striking for better wages. These workers make clothes for companies like Walmart and H&M on starvation wages. All power to the people! ✊

I have watched interviews in which Israeli officials are asked why foreign journalists are barred from entering Gaza or face restrictions on their work in the West Bank. Their response is that journalists can enter and work with complete freedom. However, this video reveals a different reality, showing how foreign journalists are treated in the West Bank, while foreign media remain completely barred from entering Gaza.

They built concentration camps and were planning to arrest people for not pledging their submissive fealty to Trump. Now is not the time for reconciliation. Now is not the time to forgive and forget. We want accountability, justice and lengthy prison terms. And we want it now.

Benjamin Moser, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, challenges mainstream Zionist narratives. He links the movement to empire, racism, and sectarian division, arguing it was “a terrible idea” from the start and that “Israel is not something with problems. It is a problem.” He highlights early Zionist attitudes toward Jewish identity, including Herzl’s 1897 “Mauschel” essay (using antisemitic tropes against Jewish anti-Zionists) and Arthur Schnitzler’s line that the only true antisemite he’d met was Theodor Herzl. The book also profiles figures like British Cabinet minister Edwin Montagu, a Jewish opponent of the Balfour Declaration who warned it would fuel antisemitism by implying dual loyalty and serve British imperial interests in Palestine. It examines Jabotinsky’s 1923 “Iron Wall” theory, which argued that voluntary agreement with Palestine’s native population was impossible and that Zionist colonisation could only proceed under the protection of overwhelming military force (“an iron wall which the native population cannot breach”) until Arabs lost hope of resistance. Raised liberal Zionist, he shifted after visiting the West Bank and researching Jewish anti-Zionist history. #Zionism #JewishHistory #History #Politics #BalfourDeclaration #IronWall

These amazing women, showing up every week, every season, in sunshine, storm or snow. Out on the streets of Dublin genuinely loving, caring & bringing a little light of hope to the people that most politicians pretend to start caring about conveniently right around election times
Tonight's Soup Run – One of the Most Challenging Nights in 11 Years 💔 Tonight, our soup run was tested in ways we have never experienced before. The crowds were enormous, tensions were high, and there was pushing, shoving and fighting among people waiting for food. It was an incredibly difficult night for our staff and volunteers as we tried desperately to maintain order and prioritise those most vulnerable. Just close your eyes for a moment and picture this. Elderly people struggling with Zimmer frames, people leaning on crutches, older men and women bent over with age, mothers with young children getting lost in the crowds, and homeless people visibly exhausted from life on the streets. These are the people we desperately try to bring forward first. Tonight, even getting the crowds to stand back to allow them through proved extremely difficult. Sadly, one of our volunteers had a hot cup of tea thrown over her. We were absolutely gobsmacked. In 11 years of running our soup run, we have never experienced anything like this. But what happened next speaks volumes about the incredible people who volunteer with Muslim Sisters of Éire. She went to her car, cleaned herself up, gathered herself and came straight back to continue serving those in need. ❤️ That is dedication. That is compassion. That is humanity. Despite everything, 400 hot meals were served tonight. Every single meal was gone. Six six-foot tables were laden with food, and by the end of the evening, every table had been cleared. And what a beautiful abundance of food we had! Fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, yoghurts, sandwiches, and delicious hot meals generously provided by four different restaurants. But tonight, we also want to give a very special shout-out to all the mammies, daddies and little boys and girls who have been visiting our office throughout the week. ❤️ Since Halloween, families have been arriving with bags of leftover sweets and treats for those who attend our soup run. Seeing little children walking into our office, proudly carrying their donations, genuinely touches our hearts. What makes it even more special is seeing parents teaching their children the importance of sharing, kindness, compassion and recognising that not everyone is as fortunate as they are. These are lessons that will stay with those children for life. ❤️ Tonight, our tables were overflowing with goodies, and thanks to your incredible generosity, we have enough treats to continue sharing over the next couple of weeks. To every parent and every little child who took the time to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Tonight was emotionally and physically exhausting. It was a stark reminder of the desperation, frustration and hardship that so many people are experiencing. While we understand that desperation can lead to heightened emotions, the safety and dignity of our volunteers and those we serve must always be respected. But we will continue to show up. We will continue to serve. And we will continue to treat every person who comes to us with compassion and dignity. We simply could not do this without you. To our restaurants, donors, volunteers, families and the wider community, thank you for standing alongside Muslim Sisters of Éire. If you would like to support our soup run, whether through food donations, essential supplies or financial contributions, please reach out. Together, we are making a difference, one meal, one act of kindness and one person at a time. ❤️ #MuslimSistersOfEire #MSOE #HomelessnessIreland #DublinHomeless #SoupRun #CommunityCompassion #KindnessMatters #HelpingThoseInNeed #VolunteersAreHeroes #TeachingChildrenKindness #TogetherWeCanMakeADifference Please donate at: msoe.ie/donate/

As a writer I have what my agent kindly calls ‘a modest platform’. Those with a hugely immodest one now need to stand up against the privatisation of @britishlibrary We need a very loud and persistent voice against it. Think what the French would do. This can not stand.

“I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold.”
I admit that I completely broke down today. I cried uncontrollably. I couldn’t hold myself together after witnessing what I saw with my own eyes. Today, we went to film a journalistic report inside the displacement tents along the seashore. I swear, what we witnessed was beyond what any human being should have to endure. I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold. We spoke to families who told us they had spent the entire night carrying their children in their arms after floodwater covered the floors of their tents and soaked their mattresses. They couldn’t find a single dry place to put their children. They couldn’t even give them a few hours of sleep. I saw children no older than five, without proper clothes to protect them from the cold, without heating, and without a dry place to sleep. Children shivering inside tents that cannot keep out the rain, protect them from the wind, or provide even the most basic sense of safety. What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings? I am sick of this world. I am sick of its hypocrisy and empty slogans. To hell with a world that talks endlessly about human rights while leaving children to drown inside their tents. To hell with everyone who has witnessed this suffering and chosen silence, and to hell with the governments and institutions that have the power to act but continue to turn their backs on us.

#Melenchon2027 #JLMBourget

Nothing to see here. Just Trump appointing his own Joseph Goebbels as Chief of Staff. Put Stephen Miller beside the original Nazi propaganda minister and the resemblance is uncanny. If this isn't a five-alarm warning, what the fuck is?

Tornados are hitting Gaza!! This storm started last night, November 6th, and has already broke thousands of tents and flooded hundreds of camps. Help now: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… People are angry on the streets, after losing their belongings AGAIN. This is the FOURTH winter in genocide in Gaza, and the Egyptian borders are closed meaning that there are no tents or tarps or blankets coming in. This is all our fault. We should be furious, and hold ourselves accountable for this. We need to mobilize and allow caravans to enter the Gaza Strip immediately! The Sameer Project is doing what we can by purchasing what is already available in the Gaza Strip. We just bought 300 blankets for $7,850 including 11% commission. But we need to get way more. Urgent donations needed to our General Fund: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
