Economists, you do realize that you don't have to write papers on AI, right? For sure you don't have to pivot into writing papers on AI. It's possible and acceptable, even fine, for there to be something going on in the world and you don't write a paper about it. 👍

These are the three skills that I use to begin my reviews, now freely available for anyone to use:
/review
Point your agent at a folder with an article, its supplementary material, and replication package, and it will assess it.
/audit-review
The agent will verify the initial review, checking for accuracy and completeness.
/review-digest
The agent will produce a human-readable digest of the the review.
I have developed these skills using the AI models of Anthropic, Cognition, Google, and OpenAI. Today, I typically run them using Opus 5.5 High. I suspect that Sol 6.1 would also produce good results, although I haven't tested it. Argon may as well. The skills burn a lot of tokens.
When using them, you should remember that the results have been produced by robots and should be verified by humans. That said, verification steps are included in the skills, and the results tend to be reliable.
You can use them by pointing your agents here: github.com/isitcredible/rese…. These are still beta versions, so all feedback is very welcome. I would particularly appreciate the thoughts of econometricians and anyone outside economics.
Finally, I should stress that this is only how I begin my reviews. Quite a lot of human labour can go into them subsequently.
As part of Project 2027, we will round up all the heterodox, strap them to chairs, and play this for them on a loop for 72 hours. youtu.be/T7kPz4a6sYw

As the prospects of getting a tenure-track job shrink, the prestige of academia declines, and working conditions worsen, PhD cohorts in the humanities skew more and more towards ideologues, the socially dysfunctional, and the otherwise unhireable.
Massive survey of grad students finds: "Humanities PhD students were the most likely to express anti-Jewish prejudice and hostility to Israel and to consider Israel/Palestine to be an issue of personal importance, compared to other graduate students."

I hope they do this by dropping any "gen ed" requirements, and disincentivizing shopping between and within majors. Then again, I am naive.
