Mr Netanyahu 'cannot be part of the healing process: it is from Netanyahu that Israel must be healed'. David Horovitz, editor of the Times of Israel has a point @TimesofIsrael
Blistering editorial from the editor of the Times of Israel, calling for Israeli voters to dethrone Benjamin Netanyahu.
Titled: "For Israel's sake, Netanyahu has to go". Ends by saying that Netanyahu cannot heal his nation, when he is the person from whom Israel needs to be healed.

Credlin has worked so hard to be seen as a tough political warrior for the conservative side of politics that she has turned herself into a caricature of a political operative. It is impossible to take her seriously any more.

On what planet is Albanese responsible for the deranged actions of the alleged culprit who has a long history of mental illness?
This isn’t journalism; it’s a calculated personal attack on Albanese. Shameful
Such thin, off-the-cuff analysis which contributes nothing to the understanding of a profound moment in Australian public life. Media moves so fast now it inevitably skates across the surface rather than digging down into substantial consideration.
Tendentious take on a national tragedy not a good sign under a new editor @FinancialReview afr.com/politics/federal/doe…

Social media has become antisocial media. Algorithms reward outrage, turning political opponents into enemies.
In my Joan Kirner Oration, I argue for changing the feeds that inflame us and rebuilding the communities that connect us.

I beg your pardon - "instead of the lefties views he reportedly holds ..."
Lefties?
Are you attempting to come across as a serious journalist making a serious point while using the pejorative term "lefties"?
Seriously? Do better and be the standard you expect others to follow
This is not Christianity - it's voodoo. What is wrong with American evangelical "Christians"?

The public brawl over the politics (or otherwise) of Helen Haines’s attacker verges on the obscene. Much of it whipped up by the usual media suspects, of course, but also by the bots and trolls on social media. It’s disgusting and, beyond that, utterly worthless. And you watch: this post, too, will attract a slew of loonies.
When you as that Mark?
Correct. Barnaby Joyce once had standards. canberratimes.com.au/story/9…

Exactly. I can be very good at waiting and seeing. Just like Homer Wells (The Cider House Rules).

Just re-read John L:yons' Balcony Over Jerusalem. Essential reading to understand the tactics and the influence of rightwing Israeli interests in Australia.

Cutting migration won’t fix Australia’s housing problem pearlsandirritations.com/pos…
Anyone in this country pushing for weaker gun laws should migrate to America!! Any political party seeking to weaken gun laws should be boycotted!

Just a quick point, Ken. Canada is not Australia. Ross’s commentary is about Australia and its immigration policies.

Geoff - population driven by immigration not keeping up with housing & infrastructure is a problem. Canada under a leftish government has substantially reduced both permanent immigration targets & temporary resident intake after several years of very rapid population growth. The policy shift began with the 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan & has continued in subsequent plans.
The reasons: Housing affordability & shortages, strain on infrastructure & public services, managing temporary resident numbers, population growth concerns, labour market rebalancing. Sound familiar?
