Zelenskyy claimed the US told him security guarantees depend on Ukraine withdrawing from Donbass. Rubio says that’s completely false.
What he was actually told: Security guarantees only kick in after the war ends. Otherwise the US would be injecting itself straight into the fight with troops. It was never attached to “give up territory or else.” 🇺🇦⚔️
