Almost every kid you talk to right now is burned out. I do believe off season programs are important but the system we have right now is crazy!

Team camps are probably my favorite! Opportunity for kids to play with their HS team. Develop game experience, and have fun.

We have basketball camps at the HS level that last 1 month. Every day for one month. Most of them are just fundraisers. Then nobody talks to their HS Coach in July, and August.
We have lifting programs that last 1 month , then stop completely then lifting never gets brought up the rest of the summer!
Unpopular Opinion: Young Athletes have way too many damn camps, leagues, and lifting in June. Every year in June you see many injuries because we throw everything in one month. I would prefer we spread some of this out through the summer.

I absolutely love this!

6'3 2024 Jeremiah Sem of Fargo North HS (ND)/ @ECINation has been one of best freshmen at @MN_BCA Showcase. Can really shoot it from deep, is an explosive athlete, and can get to his spots without taking air out of ball. Definitely one to watch.

Youth athletic tournament directors that charge admission to students (brothers and sisters of the youth athletes)...get it together ya greedy schmucks! As if the industry needs another reason to be criticized.
