they consented to this when they publicly shared their google account though? 🙁 like you realise every drive link has a big report button right? 🤔

Amazed by how ppl become so pro AI, pro art commodification, pro capitalism, the moment they are inconvenienced in the slightest.

Blue check accounts getting nearly 10 million views on their tweets about their Google drives and fic writers are the fame hungry wannabe influencer capitalists for wanting a comment or two 😭
as a mainland-born I could also tell 1 2 3 5 are likely extreme chinese nationalists aka pinkie. 9 probably has a grandpa or dad who's a ccp high official. 6 7 are chinese americans.

It’s funny how you can immediately tell which Chinese are Chinese Americans and which are from the mainland without even being Asian

I have nothing but rightful contempt for certain people who will get to see my work for free. Even before ai, the most uncreative of them steal my ideas and ask why wasn't I gone yet. If my work makes them feel anything, it should be the pang of jealousy.

awwww how sad for you. maybe you should've thought about that before posting your Google drive info on a public forum where anyone can see it and use it. ))): AWWWWWWWW sorry those fic writers didn't ask before reporting like how y'all didn't ask either LMAO hypocritical bitches

It does tickle me that about 36 hours ago people were insisting that fanfic is free game for criticism bc its an art, but now on the flip side have no interest in supporting the art. Its art when you get to be mean, but just some worthless bullshit when you have to be nice?

During the six months I worked with my second training case in therapy school, my client found a girlfriend, got a job, and moved into his first apartment. On our last session together he gave me my favorite compliment: “I’m not sure you did anything.”

nobody wants to engage fanfic writers with respect, no one wants to reach out to fanfic writers to discuss stuff about their work to build community, nobody wants fanfic writers to exist beyond the work that they offer to the community because fanfic writers are just a monolith.

I think a lot of us AO3 authors not only publish for people to read... We do so because we also want to meet more friends that connect with the art we make. It sounds banal to say we write for other people to hear us and talk to us, but I think a lot of us do.
Hcelom(redspy enjoyer) retweeted
I'm starting to realize that to some folks "fandom is all about sharing art with other fans" is just code for "you share the thing you made with me and I get to do whatever I want with it and that's your thanks. If you want more, you're greedy and anti fandom"
Hcelom(redspy enjoyer) retweeted
The saddest part about ao3 being down is how many ppl have revealed just how deeply they’ve internalised treating fandom creators as content machines rather than respecting their craft. So few question why we view creativity through the lens of intellectual prperty and copyright
