Last night withdrawals worked fine.
MEXC is under pressure from the US Treasury
And this looks more serious than just another
regulatory headline.
According to FinCEN, at least $16 billion in
transactions linked to illicit financial activity passed
through the exchange between May 2021 and May
2026
That includes around $1 billion in direct transactions
with Iranian crypto exchanges and nearly $1.5 billion
linked to sanctions evasion involving Russia.
But the most interesting part is what's happening on
the platform right now
Based on my own checks, major withdrawal networks
are currently disabled:
BNB Chain, TRON, Solana, Arbitrum, TON, Avalanche, Optimism, Polygon, Aptos, Celo, NEAR and Plasma.
USDT withdrawals remain mainly available through
Ethereum.
MEXC says user assets are safe and the platform is
operating normally.
MEXC is aware of the order issued by the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) on November 6, 2026, and is reviewing it closely in coordination with our legal and compliance teams.
MEXC is operating normally, and user assets remain secure.
We take the concerns raised seriously and intend to engage constructively with FinCEN, as well as other relevant regulators and competent authorities worldwide. We have also begun an independent review of our AML and sanctions controls.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates through our official channels.

Transfers from MEXC could become a problem for users of other exchanges
Following FinCEN's action against MEXC, users have
reported stuck withdrawals, returned deposits and
additional compliance checks on other platforms.
The issue is that compliance systems don't just check
the wallet. They also look at the origin of funds
Even if your funds are legitimate, transfers from a
flagged exchange can raise red flags
Binance is flagging wallets for transfers from sanctioned platforms. Now MEXC transfers are under scrutiny.
What's happening:
> Some withdrawals from MEXC are stuck
> Other exchanges are returning deposits from MEXC
> Deposits like these may trigger account restrictions
> Funds originating from MEXC may be flagged as high-risk
The takeaway: don't keep all your funds on a single CEX. Having control over your assets and diversifying across platforms matters more than ever.

But when so many withdrawal networks become
unavailable within 24 hours, official statements alone
aren't enough
The US order does not freeze customer funds or
directly prohibit the exchange from serving users in
other countries.
However, the consequences could extend to
international banking and payment partners
still here. locked in. forever growing.
