James “Broadaxe” Broad!
Another member of the lost generation 80s heavyweights who never reached their potential due to some combination of cocaine, alcohol, and donuts.
On Sunday, October 17, 1982 CBS was in Atlantic City for James Broad vs. Donnie Long. Tim Ryan, Gil Clancy and Sugar Ray Leonard were ringside. youtu.be/amFgqFUw4wM?si=y19v…
ABC was in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, October 16, 1982 for a WBA world featherweight title fight between champion Eusebio Pedroza and hometown challenger Bernard Taylor. Keith Jackson was ringside.

Everyone on the ballot should be household names to the voters. If they're not, those people shouldn't be voters.
I have NEVER revealed my votes for the @BoxingHall, but I am doing so now. Among my votes were Pogsaklek Wonjongkam, Shinuske Tamanake, Chris Johns & Dariusz Michalczewski. All should be locks to get inducted, but I am pretty sure none will get in because they are not household names to voters. I want to shine a light on them & also remind voters that they need to do their homework. They may disagree with these selections but these & other fighters like them on the ballot deserve proper scrutiny & research. Just voting voting for names you know is not doing due diligence.Ok, I'm off my soap box. 😂
#80sBoxing was the best.
