If you’re a designer tired of making £40,000 a year Come to 96mins.com and live your dreams. I’m helping designers make an extra 60k per year freelancing alongside their 9-5. 😮‍💨✌️
Brits are still arguing about whether or not £40,000 a year is “a lot of money” 🤣 this country is doomed… this is our managed decline (or even freefall) era ✨

You're probably charging way too little for design Literally everyone's terrified to charge what they're worth I've participated, watched, and coached designers undercharge for years. Here's what I've found works, after tons of time bullshitting around with poor budgets. 1. Day rates are a trap. They punish you for working efficiently. 2. Project rates feel safer, but most designers build quotes around time, not value They're literally leaving thousands on the table I helped a designer charge $10k for work that would've been $3k on day rates Design school *UAL* didn't tell me: Clients aren't buying your time. They're buying outcomes. Your branding work isn't worth $5k because it took 2 weeks It's worth $5k because it helps them make $50k... The solution is simple: Stop tracking hours. track impact. Build a portfolio of winning examples of this. Ask clients for success results if you have to. Skip fancy proposals. Show clear ROI. Competing on price is a race to the bottom. Compete on results. Sometimes the best pricing strategy is ignoring what everyone else charges. Link to full newsletter read below 👇 (screenshot from @96mins_ Freelance Designer Academy cohort 1 🪄)

WIP @96mins_ presentation. Today’s our first 96mins live session. Excited to be teaching more business centric concepts for designers. @camjxrdan’s presentation is looking pristine, can’t wait to see everything come together today.

It’s soon time. The @96mins_ Freelance Designer Academy spaces are down to the last few. Cohort 1 will be special. Here’s how next week looks for our designers: → Onboarding coaching call with myself and @camjxrdan to strategize client acquisition, portfolio feedback, and more → 96min class & workshop on this week’s topic 🤫 [recorded] → Drop in Office hours to work alongside designers and connect And a few more Easter eggs. Our goal is to get each designer in Cohort on track to earning an extra $60k a year. Most will add this while working around their 9-5 day jobs through bringing one or two clients for $2.5-5k. We done it last year ourselves, and we’re here to coach and help others do it too. Join the waitlist below 👇
