I love this!
I'm going to watch this video whenever I feel down. These young people are our future and they recognise Corbyn for the decent, honest, principled man he is. Seems Bercow does too. Plus Corbyn's humble smile makes me melt.

A new parliamentarian has been elected in Israel. His name is Moshe Feiglin. His views? "Every child, every baby in Gaza is an enemy. We need to conquer Gaza and colonise it. And not leave a single child there. There is no other victory." Read that again. Worse than a Nazi.

Why is there a lack of coverage about this?
#YourVoiceMatters #JasonArday has been cleared of plagiarism for a fourth time. Why is the media silent about it? As another investigation ends without substantiating plagiarism claims, @richardsudan asks who will hold the British media accountable for its treatment of the pioneering Black academic?👇🏿 voice-online.co.uk/opinion/c… @aljhlester @SholaMos1 @misanharriman @BellRibeiroAddy @GoodLawProject

A new petition to launch a public inquiry into the UK's role in the Gaza genocide has already reached over 20,000 signatures. If it surpasses 100,000, it must be considered for a debate in parliament. 👉petition.parliament.uk/petit…

This is nonsense. You may have taken a leave of absence but you remain a peer and you can sit in the Lords again. You enjoy a formidable network and considerable influence because of that status. It's a revolving door and you are cynically swinging through it.
Mr Polanski, I know you have a reputation for being scrupulous about checking your facts, but you’ve missed an important detail. My contract requires me to remain on leave from the Lords, surrender my parliamentary pass and forgo all access and voting rights for the duration of my employment at Palantir. I do not, therefore, take any whip. I fear this makes me rather less useful to the whips’ office than you imply.

POST OFFICE JAILED AN INNOCENT WOMAN Imagine. You run a small @PostOffice in Hull. You show up every day, you serve your community, you do the job. Then one day a computer program called Horizon decides you owe £59,000 that never existed. A computer program with a known glitch problem. Post Office didn't check the software. It just marched Janet Skinner @Janetsk20073533 into court in 2007 and got her jailed for 9 months. She served 2 behind bars. She lost her house. She lost her job. She lost her name in the eyes of her own neighbours, all because nobody in a position of power fancied questioning a machine. Here's where any decent organisation would stop digging the hole ... The Post Office kept digging. A year after she walked out of prison, they hauled her back into court again, this time chasing her for "proceeds of crime." Proceeds of a crime she never committed, calculated by a system that couldn't add up in the first place. Bold strategy from the people who broke the calculator in the first place. Less than two weeks after that fresh nightmare finally ended, Janet's body gave out completely. Neurological collapse. Paralysed from the neck down. Doctors told her she'd never walk again. She spent a year in a wheelchair and two years learning to walk. She says her own immune system turned on her. Years of fighting a system that refused to admit fault, and in the end it was her own body that surrendered first. So how does this story end? With an apology? A cheque that actually matches what she lost? Of course not. In 2025, after everything, the compensation scheme handed her an offer worth around 15% of her claim. Janet called it an insult. I'd call it a joke, except nobody's laughing, least of all the people who wrote the offer letter from the comfort of a job that still exists. 9 months in prison for a bug. 2 years in a wheelchair for the stress of proving her innocence. A payout that wouldn't cover the damage to her health, let alone her life. And somewhere, the people who signed off on her prosecution are still drawing a pension. Nobody who signed off on any of this has lost a house, a job, or a night's sleep. They got promotions. She got a wheelchair and an insulting cheque. Accountability had every chance to show up here and chose not to.. SOURCES @BBCNews @itvnews and others.

It is beyond ridiculous that this man is still a life peer and retains the Labour whip.
Nobody wants to buy a service they can’t walk away from. Palantir’s critics have long claimed we ‘lock in’ our customers. We don’t. This short film explains why. It’s the first in a series on the gap between the rhetoric about Palantir and the work we actually do.

Fines don't work against a $3.9 trillion dollar corporation unless you're suing them for $3.9 trillion dollars and then bankrupting their CEOs and corporate leadership. Fines will NEVER work against the billionaire class. Google does what it wants because it can.

That story about Google killing hundreds of thousands of trees in Finland for its data center project is such a perfect microcosm of what capitalism is doing to our world. Recent mass media headlines are saying the tech giant "illegally" cut down "250,000" trees, but both claims paint an inaccurate picture of what actually happened. Google killed 400,000 trees (250,000 near a town called Muhos and another 150,000 near the village of Otanmäki), and unless the company's executives actually wind up going to prison for this, their actions cannot properly be described as "illegal". I don't know who first coined the saying "If the penalty is a fine, then it's legal for rich people," but it certainly applies here. The Finnish Licensing and Supervision Authority has reportedly ordered Google to suspend all “measures that significantly change the environment," saying it will "consider enforcement proceedings and fines" if the megacorporation does not comply. Google's parent company Alphabet has a net worth of around four trillion dollars. Whatever paltry penalties Finland might impose for these ecocidal actions, it won't have any meaningful effect on Google. Giant corporations do this shit all the time. They calculate that the fines incurred by their abusive actions will be dwarfed by the massive profits they generate, issue fake apologies as needed, and leave it to their armies of lawyers to minimize the damage. That's why the Sackler family is still worth billions despite all the fines Purdue Pharma was slapped with while creating the US opiate epidemic. A 2017 Harvard study titled “The Opioid Epidemic: Fixing a Broken Pharmaceutical Market" contains the following paragraph: "Although civil claims and criminal charges were brought against Purdue and its executives, the resulting penalties paled in comparison to extended-release oxycodone profits. In May 2007, the company and its president, chief counsel, and former chief medical officer pled guilty to falsely marketing extended-release oxycodone as 'less addictive, less subject to abuse and diversion, and less likely to cause tolerance and withdrawal than other pain medications.' As part of the plea bargain, Purdue agreed to pay the federal government $600 million and 27 states $20 million. The three executives agreed to $34.5 million in fines but avoided jailtime. By contrast, Purdue has earned an estimated $31 billion in total revenues from extended-release oxycodone since its launch. Rather than deterring fraudulent marketing, the penalties simply became a cost of doing business." A cost of doing business. That's how things work under capitalism. The law primarily exists not to protect people or the environment, but to protect the interests of capital. If you destroyed a Google data center you'd probably be charged as a terrorist and spend decades in prison, but Google can destroy the natural world around you and get off with a finger wag and a symbolic fine. If you stole millions of dollars from your employer you'd go to prison for grand larceny, but if your employer steals millions from its employees you need to win a class action lawsuit to get back what they stole from you. Proponents of capitalism often pretend they support minimal government intervention in civilian affairs, but their entire model is at all times propped up by state power using force to protect the haves from the have-nots at every level of our society. Corporations are free to destroy the environment, destroy your health, rob you, exploit you, and manipulate your government to their advantage, and if you ever take action to stand up to this world-devouring onslaught, the state will lock you in a cage. In school we are taught that that the law exists to protect ordinary people from bad people, but that's not true at all. Under capitalism, the law exists to protect the very worst among us from everyone else. That's why we are seeing our planet being turned into dust and ashes for no reason other than shareholder profit. It's an insane system, and it needs to end. These freaks are feeding our entire biosphere into the woodchipper.

Meghan Markle cut all contact with her father and was assured that the allegations would be passed on to the relevant authorities, but they weren't. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was protected by his own family, she paid millions to his victim and he continues to enjoy a life of luxury, while Meghan is still treated worse than him by some people.

The Royal PR machine will launch 500 more hit pieces on Meghan this week just to distract you from the fact that Prince William is literally evicting generational tenant farmers from historic Duchy land to liquidate assets. Prince William modeling himself as the face of solving homelessness while serving eviction notices to historic Duchy families to maximize profits. "William can go to hell" sums up exactly how real people feel about this structural greed. Greed at its finest.

You can’t tell me racism hasn’t been part of the media coverage of Meghan, or that the hate directed at her. They went out of their way to turn Doria Ragland into a criminal, spreading ridiculous rumors and lies that she was a felon, a drug dealer, and that she abandoned Meghan as a child, even though there was absolutely no evidence of any of it. Meanwhile, they treated Thomas Markle like a saint, despite interview after interview showing he was an emotionally abusive piece of shit. And now the same people who attacked Meghan for years because she cut off her dad are trying to either absolve Thomas or implicate Meghan in his crimes. #Markles #Doria
LOL. GB News issued a live apology to Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, but later deleted the entire show from YouTube to suppress the embarrassment. Share the full clip widely, people. #HarryAndMeghan @I_amMukhtar Carole Malone was threatened with a lawsuit unless she apologised.😂

BBC PAID HIM 6X MORE. THE TRIBUNAL SAID THAT WAS ILLEGAL. Samira Ahmed @SamiraAhmedUK presented Newswatch on @BBC for years. Same format. Same length. Same job. Read viewer feedback on camera, wrap it up, go home. Jeremy Vine @theJeremyVine did exactly the same thing on Points of View. She got £440 per episode. He got £3,000. Ahmed spent years trying to fix it quietly through internal BBC processes. The BBC said there was no problem. She filed for tribunal. In January 2020, the tribunal ruled unanimously in her favour. The BBC could not explain the difference. They tried. They argued Vine needed "a glint in the eye" and to be "cheeky." The tribunal said that was not a skill. It was a story the BBC told itself. The total underpayment was close to £700,000. Sarah Montague, another BBC woman, settled separately for around £400,000. The National Union of Journalists flagged around 70 more cases waiting resolution internally. After Ahmed won, 700 BBC women received pay rises. The BBC's statement after losing? They regretted it had gone to tribunal. Not that they paid a woman six times less than a man for the same work for years. Just that it became public. Sources: @guardian, @BBC, @IFJGlobal, Others
