#USC does the inevitable.
They upset the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes at home and on Halloween night, 30-18.
Goodnight.

I’m going to repeat this because poor assumptions continue to be amplified. Andrew Friedman did not say in his presser last week that Shohei Ohtani does not need surgery. He didn’t. Actually, when asked about the possibility of offseason surgery for Ohtani, AF said, “that’s not on the table.” Which is like Dave Roberts saying, “we don’t think it’s IL move.” Or a pol saying “I do not intend to run for president.” They don’t intend until they do. Surgery isn’t on the table…until the player is. #Dodgers

I don’t know why Fox is trying to brag about these numbers.
Average the G1 and G2 viewership, you get 11.55M. That is slightly better than I think most expected. But its still on pace to be the third least watched World Series since they started tracking viewership in 1973.
It’s roughly a 20 percent decline from each of the last two World Series matchups. This is a bad number no matter how much Fox tries to dress it up.
FOX Sports opens the #WorldSeries with a strong start, highlighted by 12,259,000 viewers for Game 1 and 10,854,000 for Game 2.

V (1983–85)
The Visitors arrived with perfect smiles and an offer to help. The two miniseries showed the real fight for the planet underneath it all. The single season that followed kept the same sharp politics and sci-fi dread. It was ahead of its time and still is. It never got the run it deserved.

Walker Kessler in his first two games as a Laker:
22 PTS - 8 REB - 6 BLK
26 PTS - 9 REB - 12/12 FG
Worth EVERY penny.

Sandy Koufax's big overhand curveball on Dodgers footage from the 1960s.
From that high release point the ball seems to fall almost straight down through the zone.
Seeing the movement on film explains why hitters talked about that curve like it belonged in a different category from everyone else's.

Instead of the Lakers paying LeBron James 55 million
They took that 55 million and spread it amongst few players
One of them being Walker Kessler
How good is this guy, Kessler?
He’s such a better fit for the Lakers than LeBron James.
If the Lakers had paid LeBron 55 million, they wouldn’t have made playoffs!
Luka and his camp knew that and made the call to make sure LeBron never comes back as a Laker!

There hasn't been a World Series day game since 1987. Whole generations of kids never got to run home from school and catch the end of one.

La grandeza de un pelotero en las Grandes Ligas no se mide únicamente por sus estadísticas. También se construye con talento, rendimiento, disciplina, compañerismo, responsabilidad y respeto.
Miguel Rojas representa esos valores.
Gracias, Miguel. Todavía tienes mucho que aportar al béisbol.

Reading media/fan takes and I feel like I'm an optimist at this point in terms of sky not falling stuff. Weird spot for somebody with my personality, but seeing them win thrice SHOULD probably change your slant a bit.

I don’t understand the media outrage over saying the Dodgers’ run is over. Most of their older players are still productive, and they have the No. 1 farm system in baseball. They can inject young talent into the roster AND use those prospects to trade for even more superstars. The dynasty isn’t dead. It’s evolving

Nine of the #Dodgers 26 active players are homegrown. Others, such as Kiké, Phillips, Vesia and even Muncy were acquired for pennies on the dollar and developed by the organization, exactly as the Brewers have done. What you’ve done, on the other hand, is what’s known as contempt before investigation. Facts are stubborn things. Ignorance is not bliss.

A book for baseball fans of a certain age - #Dodgers fans - ages 10 to 110.
“If you love baseball, if you love the Dodgers especially, then you’ll love this book. ‘Off Base with Howard Cole: The First 25 Years’ is a charming, fun and sometimes melancholy tour in the life of a ballclub, but also of a fan. I can’t wait for ‘The Second 25 Years.’”

Just want to paint the bigger picture for #Dodgers fans
We had to wait 32 years to see a World Series championship
The Dodgers failed to make the playoffs from 1997-2003 and then from 2010-2012
Theyve won 3 WS championships in 6 years. Not too shabby, let’s appreciate that
