ABC 6 Weather

[4:04 PM TUES.]- Storms are approaching the I-35 corridor with both Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings all down the line. All threats are in play through about 8-9 PM tonight. Make sure to stay up to date on-air & online as storms move through. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[12:16 PM TUES.]- All of us are under either an enhanced or moderate risk for severe weather this afternoon. If you have any outdoor objects, bring them inside!! ALL THREATS ARE IN PLAY!! If you have any outdoor evening plans, they must be rescheduled!! #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[8:12 PM MON.]- In addition to severe storms in Mower, Dodge, and Olmsted Counties, we also have a stronger cell up around Pine Island producing large radar estimated hail as well. Make sure to seek shelter if you are in the path of any of these storms. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[7:55 PM] - We have been downgraded to a marginal risk for severe weather. At this point, severe weather is highly unlikely. You still won't want to be outside due to the amount of lightning taking place in the storms. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[7:16 PM] - We have a few more cells tracking through that possess more heavy rainfall. After this rain is out of the area, we will be switching to smaller cells. Keep in mind just like the other rounds of storms, these ones here also have a ton of lightning. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[5:51 PM] - The line of thunderstorms that brought heavy rainfall to most communities along with a quick severe thunderstorm warning in northern Olmsted County is weaker and basically out of our area. Now we have more cells developing to our west. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

5 minutes later... #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[4:38 PM] - All that heavy rainfall in the background on our Broadway Plaza Tower Cam is quickly approaching downtown. This is along the northern edge of the storms that are quickly moving through southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

[3:28 PM] - As this line of storms moves further east, it is showing some signs of weakening as it becomes more elevated. Although the heavy rainfall is holding together enough for northern Iowa and the I-90 corridor. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued in all Northern Iowa counties except Howard and Mitchell until 10 PM this evening. Hail and high winds remain the biggest threats, but an isolated tornado risk still looms. #mnwx #iawx #abc6wx
