If YOU were supposed to be honored on a particular day for your achievements, and a number of the invited guests cited lame excuses not to be there, you’d be rightly offended by that and wonder if they really knew you or cared about you.
Now, let’s add that the reason you are to
I enjoy a lot of my interactions here so much. But X is a time waster for me. If you're looking for me I'm pretty easy to find. Just not on X for now.
I'm not judging anyone who properly uses X. I'm just unable to redeem the time God has given me and keep logged in. Blessings!
I thought I had good reasons yesterday. But I didn't prepare myself as much for this morning as I normally would on Saturday evening. And this morning I paid for it. Begin your worship Saturday evening through the effort to prepare for Sunday. It is how God intended.

Many followers of Jesus are asking the Lord for some wonderful things. For revival and reformation.
And I’m so glad He is kind and gracious!
But it’s interesting that we have these giant requests but we struggle with the simplest things.
Going to church.
Reading our Bibles.
Ordaining qualified elders.
Even something as simple as men being uncovered and women being covered…a seemingly easy task on the Lord’s Day… is widely ignored.
Oh Lord, help us.

I’m going to Jerusalem today. That heavenly Zion. The gathered church (Heb. 12:22). The most beautiful place on earth.
Enjoy some music this Sabbath morning.

King David is one of the manliest men to ever live. He killed bears and lions with his bare hands! He slew Goliath, the giant enemy of God. He destroyed the enemies of the LORD’s people, making peace for Israel.
Do you know what else? He meditated on God’s word day and night; he memorized the Scriptures; he taught the Bible; he wrote Psalms and sang them; he prayed his heart out; he pointed to the kind mercy of God in saving sinners by grace; and he wept over his sin and repented. This is a man of worth.
Sadly I think many men choose one or the other—some choose only physical fitness and training to be a dangerous yet self controlled man, or they choose to be spiritually minded and devoted to holiness.
Biblical manhood it is not either/or. It is both/and.
We need fit men. Fit in their bodies and fit in their souls. God, grant it!

Even if you don’t accept the universal scope of the Noahic covenant, DVD does, so this isn’t a valid internal critique as framed.

Patience with others becomes easier the more we thank God for his patience with us.
A practice of repentance leads to a deeper kind of knowledge that makes us hesitate to ever "wring the neck of our fellow servant."
It takes time to integrate that though.

The Noahic covenant was made with all men. The Mosaic covenant was only made with some. This is an important detail that undermines the argument here.

The internet constantly tells women that men are terrible listeners because the second a woman starts venting about her day, the man immediately interrupts to offer a logical solution. We are taught to view this as him being dismissive, emotionally unintelligent, or invalidating our feelings.
The strict, unpopular truth is that to a man, fixing the problem is his absolute highest, most desperate form of empathy.
Women vent to connect; we want our partner to just sit in the dark with us and validate the emotion. But men are hardwired to view the woman they love being in distress as an active threat. When he immediately offers a spreadsheet, a strategy, or a solution to your problem, he isn't trying to silence you. His brain has recognized that something in the world is hurting his partner, and his immediate, visceral instinct is to assassinate the thing causing you pain.
We constantly shame men for "not just listening," completely ignoring the fact that his attempt to fix your life is his most profound declaration of love.

We spoke to the father, who confirmed they were having an abortion. This baby is their eighth. We exhorted him to change his mind in the fear of God, and he was conflicted. About forty-five minutes later, he came back, said he took our advice, went in, and brought her out!

You can’t be saved by your parents' faith, but you will certainly be haunted by their love if you choose to walk away from it.
"I can conceive of no one entering hell with a worse grace than the man who goes there with the drops of his mother's tears on his head and with his father's prayers following him at his heels." ~ C.H. Spurgeon
