On the 61st anniversary of #Medicaid, our latest survey finds nearly all cancer patients and survivors surveyed would not have been able to meet new Medicaid #WorkRequirements, and many report concerns about losing coverage. fightcancer.org/releases/new…
Governor Spanberger highlighted the risks cuts pose for Virginians. New ACS CAN data shows why that matters. Most cancer survivors say they would have struggled to meet Medicaid work requirements during treatment.
61 years ago today, Medicare and Medicaid became law — extending healthcare to Virginians across the Commonwealth.
But that care is under threat. The Trump Administration and Republicans in Washington made the largest cuts to Medicaid in the program’s history, putting 300,000 Virginians at risk of losing coverage.
In the wake of these devastating cuts, Virginia will continue to use every tool we have to protect Virginians’ access to care.
