One thing that pisses me off the most is the inability to reach the rider that isn’t moving or contact an actual human customer support agent to solve your problem. It’s just a bunch of bot responses that don’t do anything!

African startups don’t get funded for potential; they get funded for proof, and proof takes time. So the name of the game is simple: stay alive long enough to show the numbers.

The average Nigerian is just so dishonest and that just icks me out! I was on my way to work today when traffic came to a standstill and the car in front of me slowed down so I slowed down too, as soon as I started slowing down, a taxi man slammed his car into mine like he had never heard of what a brake was in his entire life. He hit my car so hard I hit the car in front of me a little bit so we all parked and asked him why he did that, he began making excuses asking us why we slowed down and we were so shocked because right off the bat he was already trying to push the blame away. Luckily for the lady in front of me there was little damage to her bumper so she left, I on the other hand was not so lucky and I was fed up with taxis driving recklessly and saying sorry when they damage my property. I sent my mechanic and sent him a picture, he said it would cost 20,000 NGN to fix, I told the driver and he still kept trying to lie and gaslight his way out of the situation. As we were talking, as funny as Nigeria is, an army personnel driving a hilux on one way told us to repark so he could follow his one way😂😂 @FRSCNigeria had personnel on the road observing all of this but they never said a thing. As soon as the man got in his car he tried to make a run for it but I wasn’t going to let this one go so I followed him until he eventually parked and we had the conversation you’re going to hear in the video below! I started following him to his mechanic shop when this guy started trying to run again😂 at that point I just gave up and turned around then went my way. Somebody’s father, a middle aged Nigerian man, who couldn’t own up to his own mistake! While I was chasing him, I copied his plate number and was trying to call the @FRSCNigeria hotline to report the driver but for some reason their hotline (122) wasn’t going through! I just rolled my eyes and laughed about how pathetic the entire situation was.

This kind of recklessness on the part of taxi drivers has gone unanswered for way too long, I’m tired of getting hit by them because of their funny way of driving. And the Federal Road Safety Commission @FRSCNigeria has indirectly enabled them for the longest by not providing a way for plaintiffs such as myself to effectively report cases like these. I mean why won’t your hotline be working on a Monday morning!!!! These drivers go around Abuja, both in the outskirts and city center, weaving carelessly, stopping and parking anyhow to pick up passengers without caring about how it’s affecting the flow of traffic because they know that even if they cause an accident, all they’ll need to do is talk, gaslight, lie and run away from the consequence. In fact there are no consequences because the road safety officers most times don’t interfere! I’m dropping his plate number here, so if you’re going anywhere and you see this driver car you can avoid him and get into another car before he does something even more reckless than this that endangers your life.

Scammers found a way to make people drain their own wallets without sending them a phishing link. They uploaded YouTube tutorials showing people how to build an AI crypto trading bot with Claude. People followed the tutorial themselves. Copied the code. Deployed the smart contract themselves. Funded it from their own wallets. And approved every transaction themselves. Except the “trading bot” had no trading logic. It was built to send their ETH straight to the scammers. 224 wallets lost 274.6 ETH, worth about $517,000 when it was stolen. The median victim lost 1 ETH. Some victims even got an error after getting drained telling them to deposit another 50% to fix the bot. They literally got people to build, fund and approve their own wallet drainer. You've got to be very careful this days
