I was called a larper for shipping DanLady ffs. I’m older than you are and i’ve been playing DMC since 2003, jesus christ the negativity of this fandom now is worse than in 2013 when the reboot happened.

I see all these posts about how fandoms are moving now and to me it just reinforces my notion of just moving your own way through and enjoying the media for yourself.

Critique is meant to be constructive and help artists reach their full potential. Nowadays it’s really become more like β€œI don’t like this media so I’m going to tear it apart and gleefully watch it crash and burn.” There’s an unchecked and open malice to it. It’s disheartening.
SuVi 🦧 (@SuVividLee) profile pictureSuVi 🦧@SuVividLeeMay 17
it's genuinely concerning how many "aspiring artists"/creatives online are so quick to say nothing but overly harsh remarks towards other people's passion projects for no reason other than to be negative. Has the online space warped so much we forgot how to treat fellow artists?
