Our following has grown, so we wanted to reshare one of our most important posts about language. We need to stop using the phrase "committed suicide". By changing our language, we bring awareness, better conversations and lead with kindness. Share this post to create change.

Every year the NHS spends billions sending patients to private hospitals. When these are forced to close due to abuse and ill treatment, they often reopen as new services. “This recycling of services is a loophole that needs to close.” - @DebatINQUEST independent.co.uk/news/healt…

Hayden’s second inquest will start tomorrow. Every party is represented by counsel. The Coroner - counsel instructed and paid for by tax payers. Chelsea and Westminster hospital - counsel instructed paid for by tax payers. “Dr” Jonathan Penny - counsel instructed paid for by insurance. Us, Hayden’s family - counsel instructed paid for out of pocket from taxed income. “Equality of arms” does not exist in the UK justice system. @JusticeForHBN

Thank you @cbuckler_ @NorthEtogether for this insightful report on Oxevision. Perhaps not surprising that an independent report is starting to give a very different account compared to Oxehealth & associated Trusts.
We are pleased to be able to share with you our report on Oxevision, written by @cbuckler_ Surveillance is not safety. You can read the full report, and a summary here to find out what people really think about surveillance in healthcare northeasttogether.org/public… #StopOxevision

Why is @NHSEngland allowing oxevision to be rolled out without proper scrutiny and used as an experimental tool on non-consenting NHS inpatients who are filmed in their hospital bedrooms like rats in a lab? @TEWV @rdash_nhs @EPUTNHS
Today we sent a letter to the HRA asking for retraction of ethical approval of a study that involved analysing blurred video of patients in their bedroom for up to 2 hours prior to self-harm The patients have no idea they’ve been part of this study. They were never asked consent

We can no longer tolerate the use of public money to fund private provisions which are failing to keep people safe." - a clear call from @INQUEST_ORG
Lily Lucas, 28, died after being found unresponsive whilst an NHS inpatient at a privately run Cygnet Hospital in September 2022. Now an inquest has found widespread failings in the care provided to Lily and that neglect contributed to her death. inquest.org.uk/lillian-lucas…
