AGFS Reception

We had the best day with Reception class and their parents and carers finding our reading bears. Thank you for all your help. From Mrs Bruce and Miss Traill

Thanks to everyone who put together our first Appletree's got Talent. We absolutely had a superb range of diverse, interesting and entertaining talents- well done year four. We are so proud of you all! The rest of the school has been inspired...ready for the next show.😊

A huge well done to our Little Pips team who received the local authority '2 Matters' award last week. They were amongst the first two year old provisions in our County to be recognised for this award.🤗

Well done to Mr Dent and all of our eco warriors for their winning podcast 'Dim the light, win the fight!' We won best digital KS2 entry 🤗Go to our website homepage to listen.

Great to see all the pupils back. Here are some of the year ones playing under our brand new canopy.

Our eco warriors received the Eco schools 'Green Flag' from our North Tyneside Young Mayor Max in our value assembly today. Well done to everyone in our school community who has supported us to achieve this. Huge thanks to Max for inspiring us to keep up the good work!

Our amazing team bagging a silver for second place in the Tyne and Wear Key Steps Gymnastics competition. They were amazing 🤩

‘Wild Wednesday’ for Reception classes today. In Forest school, the children helped fill the compost store, found mini beasts, made potions and became sticky weed monsters.

Some new soft surfacing installed, making sure we can keep fit and keep moving all year round, regardless of the weather 👍

Amazing effort by our volunteers! One step closer to having a thriving hedge in our school grounds. Thanks again!

Look at our fantastic art work displayed in Morrisons Whitley Bay. #LestWeForget

Our new outdoor gym is installed along with an all weather rubber surface! Just need some key words/phrases art work to finish it off. We can’t wait to start using it! 🙂

Our First entries for the Appletree family logo competition are in and they are so inspiring. Well done Bobby and Jensen. Keep them coming! Entries close on Friday April 30th.

We have been finding out about floating and sinking. We discovered the secret of the dancing raisins and investigated the best materials to make our sinking superheroes float!

Reception Superheroes have discovered they too can have superpowers thanks to science. We have learned how to make static electricity to move objects.
