We’re proud to welcome Gecko Robotics, a Pittsburgh success story, as the first partner on our men’s basketball jerseys! The innovation happening at Pitt and across Pittsburgh is The Gold Standard in action. #H2P 🔵🟡

Sat down with Dean Manuel of @PittEngineering...what a dynamic leader! We covered a lot, but the link between engineering and athletics stood out. It's already working. Our baseball and swimming programs are solving real performance and training needs with engineering support. Dean Manuel and I are excited to build on that foundation. Nearly every engineering discipline can help student-athletes perform better and stay safer while creating new opportunities for research and innovation. Proud to be part of a university where those possibilities are within reach. #H2P 🔵🟡

Loved spending time with this group yesterday and watching firsthand as they build the foundation under Coach Harmony. Let’s have a season, @Pitt_WBB! #H2P 🔵🟡

Great day yesterday! Special place. Special people. Special cause. Teed it up, then supported our community through the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation. @JeromeBettis36 has done and continues to do so much for this city. From Super Bowl champion to his CyberBuses for Boys & Girls Club of Western PA. The Bus delivers. A Hall of Fame jacket to match a Hall of Fame heart. Mike Ditka was the embodiment of a Pitt man. He brought the toughness and pride of western Pennsylvania to Pitt and carried our name to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In his memory, @Pitt_FB will wear 89 decals tomorrow against UNC. Our condolences to the Ditka family. #H2P 🔵🟡

Christy and I spent time at @bgcwpa earlier this week, and it stuck with us. Since 1888, this organization has given young people across our region safe spaces, caring mentors, and a real shot at success. Today they serve 12,000 kids and teens across four counties. 1,600 of them get connected to the power of sports every single year. Pitt student-athletes are in the mix too, mentoring BGCWPA's Club Kids and Teens and helping them build skills that carry on and off the field. Pittsburgh is better because of the work this organization does every day! #H2P 🔵🟡

Sunday night was all about our SAAC Executive Board. Good food, good company, good leaders. Grateful for these student-athletes and everything they bring to our department! #H2P 🔵🟡

What a great group! Love their enthusiasm! Wishing @Pitt_SWIM_DIVE all the best this season! #H2P 🔵🟡

Last week I had the chance to meet w/ Dean Bruce Childers to talk about his personal journey and the future of School of Computing & Information (SCI). Their undergraduate computer science program just jumped 14 spots to a Top 50 national ranking, the highest in school history! Fueling that rise is Pitt's emergence as a leader in AI innovation! The future is here…literally! #H2P 🔵🟡

A university on the rise 📈 Pitt jumped 10 spots to No. 24 among public universities, right as we launch Proving Possible, our most ambitious campaign ever! The best is yet to come! #H2P 🔵🟡 👇🏾 pittwire.pitt.edu/features-a…

Unforgettable night inducting eight Forever Panthers into the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame! These individuals set the Gold Standard in their respective sports. But more than that, they embody everything it means to be Pitt family - their grit, their determination, and perhaps most notably, their gratitude for the people who helped carry them to this moment. Congratulations to the 2026 HoF class! #H2P 🔵🟡

Some of the most important work at Acrisure Stadium happens before a single fan walks through the gates. Grateful for the team that makes it all possible! Here we go! #H2P 🔵🟡

It’s been a summer of building! New partnerships secured, existing partners doubled down, philanthropic records broken, and a plan developed that will guide us for years to come! I’m proud of the staff and I love this city! Let’s have a year! #H2P 🔵🟡

Even though our strategic plan became public today, this work has quietly been underway for months, carried by people who believe deeply in what Pitt can become. Thank you to our entire athletics department. You poured your time, your ideas and your honest conversation into this plan and it shows. It reflects the heart of the people who show up every single day for our student-athletes, often in ways our fans never see, but always feel. This plan will evolve as college athletics does, but it gives us a road map to navigate the future and meet the moment together. I'm proud of what we're building, and I’m even more proud of the people building it! #H2P 🔵🟡

Next up, Cross Country. Good energy meeting with our XC teams today. Season opens Friday morning at the Panther Open in Schenley Park. Kickoff to a huge weekend in Pittsburgh! #H2P 🔵🟡

Great to start the week with Dean Eboni M. Zamani-Gallaher from the School of Education! Many of our student-athletes study in the School of Education, which prepares them to use the same discipline, leadership and resilience that shows up every day on our fields and courts. The school also offers Exercise Science BS and MS programs, along with minors in Fitness Coaching and Aquatics, giving students a direct path to careers in sport and wellness. It's a reminder that what our student-athletes learn in competition doesn't stop there. Many of them go on to shape the next generation, in classrooms, on sidelines and in communities far beyond Oakland. Proud of the partnership between Pitt Athletics and Pitt Education, and grateful for leaders like Eboni who help make that path possible. #H2P 🔵🟡

Excited to welcome all of our student-athletes back to campus for the 2026-27 campaign! Grateful every day for their dedication to this University and for choosing Pitt to pursue their dreams in competition and in the classroom. Let's make it a great year! #H2P 🔵🟡

Proud to call @UPMC our first jersey patch partner! Today's announcement builds on 40 years together and gives our student-athletes a real platform alongside a brand that's both deeply rooted in our community and globally respected in health care. #H2P 🔵🟡
