Class 5A West Andover and Kapaun entered deadlocked in the tiebreak formula, and the Trojans get the top seed via coin flip. Last year's 4A champ KMC could meet the reigning champs in 5A Salina Central in round two. And of note, rivals Goddard and Eisenhower meet Friday night

Andover beats Salina Central by 10 and will create a coin flip for the 1 seed on the 5A west, After the game, Jason Lamb caught up with Andover head coach Cruce about the way the Trojans responded after trailing at halftime and they are back-to-back AVCTL-II champs. The Trojans needed to win by 11 to clinch the No. 1 seed in 5A West outright. With Kapaun beating Wichita West 66-8, the teams finish tied in the point-differential tiebreaker. A coin flip will decide the top seed. Hear more from Coach Cruce in Jason Lamb’s postgame interview here. #sportsinkansas
