Godzilla Minus Zero is heading for a $32M opening, nearly triple Minus One's $11.4M and the biggest ever for a live-action foreign-language film in North America. The old record was Hero's $17.8M from 2002. Three-quarters came from IMAX and premium screens, because subtitles hit harder at 70 feet.

Brad Bird pitched Ray Gunn for 30 years before Netflix wrote the $150M check nobody else would. Sam Rockwell is the last human detective in a city that automated the job; Scarlett Johansson is the pop star whose scandal might kill her. The first clip is Bogart with a jetpack.
Hexed: a Disney teen tries to magic a path through a swamp and gets a giant centipede instead. Teenagers with powers remain the studio's scariest effect.
My take on Ramayana -
In this modern era of multiculturalism where I see different countries proudly showcasing movies with their cultural stories, breaking the barriers and opening the doors to their world, I have often wondered, will India ever enjoy that moment where an Indian story reach the world.
Well, it was about time that the World needs to be aware of the ultimate story of Ramayana, which I truly believe is the inspiration for a lot of other classics worldwide, and eventually how it shaped Indian culture.
Nothing makes me more proud than this version of Ramayana being presented to the world.
What DNEG achieved with this movie will rewrite Indian cinema, and how far it can reach.
Not just the VFX & CGI which are exceptional and top notch, the movie beautifully shares the message of “Dharma” that is so deeply rooted to Hinduism.
As Lord Ram says in the movie, “We seek forgiveness, not out of fear, but because a war never solves anything” or when he says “Never take our kindness as weakness, we respect everyone”, these teachings are the pillars of Hinduism for ages and is so beautifully entrenched in the movie.
Now, strictly cinematically speaking, this is how you set up a story where the villain Ravana’s character is so well written that he feels invincible and you feel the hatred towards him by the end, and Lord Ram’s character is so deeply humane, humble & righteous that the eventual face off seems like a David vs Goliath story & the Ravana defeat that follows will feel so well earned and deserved (hopefully in Diwali 2028).
Me, being an ardent movie lover, very few movies from India makes me proud and this one definitely is one of them.
