An elected school board member in Bristol-Warren, RI said that the mission to empower Black and Brown children might “promote inequity.”
If you stand against this ignorance, please RT. People need to know this is happening in our state. In 2021.

I’ve heard from 2 different teachers in @pvdschools that when they’ve worn or posted #BlackLivesMatterAtSchool materials they’ve gotten push back from colleagues who want to assert “all lives matter.” And, we wonder why we can’t recruit & retain more TOCs? @PTU958

In May, Trump said we are being “invaded” by immigrants. The El Paso shooter said he wanted to stop the “invasion.”
Trump asked his rally crowd: "How do you stop these people" from crossing the border?
"Shoot them!" Someone screamed.
He laughed. Then the crowd laughed.

Key findings of the @JHUEdPolicy report on @pvdschools: 1) Rigor is too low 2) Parents don’t have a voice 3) Demoralized teachers don’t feel supported 4) Principals not allowed to exercise leadership 5) Crumbling school buildings.
