📊 Nearly $9 million in interest saved for taxpayers. Voters approved bond funding in 2017 for renovations to Socorro ISD school facilities. Since then, the district has paid down debt early, saving taxpayers nearly $9 million in interest. This November, voters will consider Proposition A, which would provide $49.2 million in new funding in the current fiscal year and is expected to provide at least as much each year thereafter for teacher and staff compensation, student programs, safety and security, technology, and HVAC and bus replacements.
