It’s World #AMR Awareness Week.
Did you know misusing antibiotics leads to drug resistance and side effects?

ALT A graphic with the title “Test your antibiotic knowledge!” followed by a pill and question-mark icon. Below, a speech bubble labelled “False” with a red X reads: “Antibiotics are safe to use without a prescription.” Another speech bubble labelled “True” with a green checkmark reads: “Only use antibiotics if prescribed. Taking antibiotics when you don’t need them can lead to resistance and side effects.”

The changes in eligibility for NHS Covid-19 vaccination in the UK this year have caused confusion among the public because of the increase in the age of the target group from 65 to 75 and the removal of younger people with long-term medical conditions from the eligible group.

BREAKING: The West of England has a Mayor that only 25% voted for.
3 in 4 voters chose a different candidate and didn't get the chance to pick their second option.
Regardless of which party you support, one thing is clear: this is not a democratic mandate. The system is broken.
I would prefer to have remained in the EU. We were still non schengen.
I welcome visitors to my country - unfortunately, it's now £10pp and an online form prior to entry.
Don't get caught out, but please still consider coming to say Hi :)
Starting today, almost all foreign visitors to the UK must go online and pay £10 for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA).
One key exception: Irish citizens, who have a golden ticket to enter the UK and travel anywhere in the EU without undue red tape.

It’s time for THE charger.
Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging electronic devices in the EU.
It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need.

Honoured to be attending today's conference with such wonderful guests @drmahendrapatel and @rpharms President Claire Anderson. Engaging in insightful discussions and networking with pharmacy leaders to drive forward our shared goals. #ukcpaconf
Very interesting session. Why don't we routinely work out if a drug will work for a patient before they potentially are harmed.
Can they have codeine or will it give them side effects?
Will clopidogrel work?
The science/technology is there - is the pharmacy workforce ready?
