If you grow wheat there is value in protein. If you grow canola there is value in its oil. Our @theGRDC project aims to fully value the nitrogen fixation of pulses. When N prices are high (eg 2022) and demand high (eg high biomass beans) we have measured up to $1600/ha of N-fix
🫘HAPPY INTERNATIONAL PULSE DAY🫘
GOA has done some cool pulse research recently with Rohan Brill & @theGRDC.
🌿Faba beans won for yield & net N fixed.
🌿N fixed from biomass amt, with ~33 kg N/ha fixed/ t of above ground biomass.

ALT Relationship between peak biomass (above ground, measured at 30-50% podding) and total N fixation in 2021. Crops included = chickpeas, faba beans, lentils, lupins, field peas and vetch.

Has anyone ridden the railway access road, from Kalgoorlie to Glendambo SA, about 1,500 ks.
Can you get fuel at Forrest? and is there any roads or tracks you can take south off it.
I’ve been on it out to Rawlinna, and it’s a great road, however fuel is a problem.
Get on it @GavinHowley
Not going to lie… this is probably the best $31.99 I’ve ever spent 🤔🤷♂️ 🧹 #DysonUpgrade #MilwaukeeTools

If we learnt anything from 2022, timing of fungicide strategies and genetics were critically important in maintaining green area at the right time of the season.
Have a read and think about where you crop is at and what it looks like 🔫🤑💚✅ – at Adelaide, South Australia
Welcome to issue 1 of #inGRAINed 'Cropping Strategies', the first in our series of extension and education aids for growers and industry. These will be complimented with a series of YouTube videos and Podcasts throughout the growing season. faraustralia.com.au/wp-conte…

In what world, do us, as blackfellas think this behaviour is ok?? This is on us, as a group. Not the white man, not the past , nothing. This is on us. Our putrid behaviour. This is current day Darwin. @barrelracernt @sokitomi

Applying 2,4-D in a mix with gly can elevate aldo-keto reductase (AKR) enzyme activity in ryegrass. It also turns out metabolism-based resistance to glyphosate is caused by AKR. This could explain poor ryegrass control where 2,4-D is mixed with gly. Work by Feng-Yan Zhou & AHRI.
Looking at seeder boots.
Going back to single shot, not after under seed tillage. Light to pull is a big plus.
Any thoughts on these two boots, other options to look at?

First day playing around with our new (old) stripper front as part of a new @MsfMallee project looking to build Robust Ground-cover ahead of planting legume crops. Can we couple with disc seeding systems to reduce erosion following pulse crops? @AMadsnake
Dose any one know the difference in feeder house speeds from a 9600 Deere to a 1644 case, adapting a front from the Deere to the case.

Anyone with an agco challenger, mine seems to rattle on the driver side in the transmission when cold. Just after anyone that can help me solve the issue. Tia #asktwitter

Congratulations to @MsfMallee Looking forward to seeing the outcomes over the next 3 years in a region that knows drought conditions too well @AnneWebsterMP @McbeathTherese @Moodie_ag – at Mildura, Victoria
