Israel’s Arab citizens, men and women, are turning out in historic numbers to vote. They can vote, run for office, and serve in the Knesset, rights denied to many Arabs and women across much of the Middle East. Our critical ally in the fight against terror, Israel, is the only democracy in the region, and today shows it.

It’s amazing that it appears as if a couple million Arabs have voted in the Israeli elections. I thought they were an apartheid state so I’m very confused 🤔 #Stopantisemitism #NotoJewishhate

I have spoken out against anti-Muslim hate in the Michigan Senate race. I will speak out just as loudly when the target is Jewish people. Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent! But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest. You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful. Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway. This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

I’m going to go with the “If not” scenario which is also the he’s “full of shit” scenario
If @AbdulElSayed truly means what he says about treating the Jewish community as he would treat his own children, then he would immediately condemn this dangerous ad as outrageously antisemitic and demand that it be taken down. If not, then he’s full of shit.

Some serious economic misinformation to go with the antisemitism in this ad that blames Israel for the rising price of American eggs, bananas, healthcare - it falsely links American families’ grocery bills and healthcare costs to U.S. aid to Israel. - Aid to Israel is approximately 0.05% of federal spending - Most American military assistance to Israel goes to buy goods and services from U.S. defense contractors. - U.S. assistance is overwhelmingly military, not a direct subsidy for Israeli healthcare - most American bananas come from Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Honduras and prices are rising because of El Niño.
You want to know what desperate looks like? Blaming the price of bananas on Israel. Consider this PAC ad just another example of scapegoating the Jewish state. At least we can thank them for a case study in antisemitism.

MUST WATCH: Last night on CNN’s special election coverage, Van Jones talked about our open letter from nearly 250 rabbis from across the country to Dr. El-Sayed last week, and how he still hasn’t addressed our community’s concerns. As Van notes, there is still real work for the El-Sayed campaign to do if they want to close the gap — for both Jewish and Black voters who have long been necessary for winning Democratic coalitions.

When someone shows you who they are believe them. The political ad in Michigan tying the cost of bananas and eggs to aid to Israel is gross antisemitism and despicable. When El-Sayeed said “hurt people hurt people” it was as bad as when Trump said their were “fine people on both sides” #stopjewishhate
I don’t see a world in which El-Sayed disavows the antisemitic bananas ad. This has been the drumbeat of his campaign.

All of this 💯 #IsraelElections
I said I wasn’t going to weigh in on who should be prime minister of Israel as that is a decision for Israeli citizens. I did, however, want to share one point of view from the perspective of someone who has an understanding of how Israel is perceived in America. Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have caused Israel enormous reputational damage with their statements and actions which are presented in the global media as representing the voice and will of all Israelis. As such, a government formed without Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will send a message to the rest of the world that Israel is turning a new page. This will allow Israel to rebuild lost credibility, increase the opportunity for an expansion of the Abraham Accords, and enjoy a better relationship with Democrats and Republicans and Americans at large.

I worked for Obama twice. I ran for Congress as a Democrat. Now I’m called a traitor for refusing to give every Democrat my vote. I’m raising a Jewish daughter. Her safety matters more to me than party loyalty. If that bothers you, ask yourself why.

Imagine arguing that Abdul “Hurt people hurt people” El Sayed is fighting to protect Jewish safety.
Help get @abdulelsayed elected to the senate! Jewish safety depends on a real multiracial democracy—and Abdul is the one fighting to protect it. Get involved and help at abdulforsenate.com/vote go.abdulforsenate.com We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too. We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries. That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next. Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells. Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it. #abdulelsayed #democracy #jewish #midterms

“If you want to see where socialism leads you, look at France this last weekend. It’s a socialist’s dream.” Ken Griffin
Ken Griffin on the rise of DSA, Paris riots and looting in Chicago I'm not so worried about it. It's a New York, Illinois, Michigan, California bit of a bubble. If you want to see where socialism leads to, look at France last weekend. It's the socialist dream. The country spends 60% of GDP at the government level. BTW Paris looked pretty damn similar to Chicago in 2021-22. It’s a people… (that) are very willing to riot and protest anything. Is that really the future that the US might be looking at? It’s the future. I lived in Chicago. I could look out my window at the Dior store. They were very efficient. We may be more efficient than the French, even at looting.

In 43 of the 45 congressional districts in play, per Cook Political Report, the Democratic candidate is endorsed by the New Democrat Coalition or the Blue Dog Coalition. These blocs already represent 58% of the House Democratic Caucus. A blue wave would swell their ranks and strengthen their influence — putting pro-growth, pro-capitalist, mainstream Democrats at the center of the next majority. The left might get the attention, but moderates make majorities, make the deals, and drive the agenda.
Your daily reminder that the far left has yet to flip a single Congressional seat.
