"An opera company is defined by its chorus and orchestra." Three of my greatest colleagues put their finger on the heart of it.

2/2 2. Our Organ Scholar, Carolyn Craig, gave a wonderful 1st organ recital here. 3. Our St Margaret's Choristers sang their first-ever service this evening, with very impressive assurance! Congratulations to their Director, Greg Morris. Thank you to everyone who took part today!
1/2 The end of an exciting & historic day @wabbey. 1. I gave @WAbbeyChoir choristers a well-deserved weekend off. Today (for the 1st time) all three services were sung by the Lay Vicars + 6 sopranos. Haydn Te Deum, Poulenc Mass, Messiaen & 3 mvts of Rachmaninoff Vespers. A feast!
Happy 80th birthday to the great Philip Moore! At @wabbey Evensong we sang his 'Hear my prayer, O heavenly Father.' It sets words by Charles Dickens, who is buried in Poets' Corner. Happy Birthday, Philip, and thank you for so many decades enriching the British Choral Tradition.

I'll eat the large hadron collider (pictured) if this stunning contemporary collection isn't my choral record of the year.
