Ivy Wolk is the celebrity for our times. She survived the phenomenon where you have charisma, so people on the internet arbitrarily decide you should die. This unfortunately happens ALL THE TIME to artists. I appreciate her being smart and tenacious enough to reflect on it here.
“Every possible -ism and -phobia and moral impropriety has been ascribed to me since I began my largely pro-bono career as an internet girl,” writes Ivy Wolk.
In a new essay, the 22-year-old comedian and actor reflects on the way her dark thoughts about her own self-image are interpreted as “soulless edgelord fare” — and all the times she’s been canceled since she started posting her comedy online as a teen, including when children once decided en masse that she was a “whorish foil” to a famous friend of hers.
“As much as I wish for anonymity or a slate wipe sometimes, I am grateful for the perspective I’ve aggregated and the ways in which I have been challenged never to abandon my beliefs and my unbounding love for other people,” Wolk writes. “It cannot harden me, it cannot isolate me from community, and it cannot remove me from public life.”

Would yall be mad if I did this
love Trim so much definitely one of my fave new rappers… she has vocals and charisma, is obviously influenced by Nicki but puts an original spin on it and she really sticks out among her peers. this is her best track yet on.soundcloud.com/izRql7qyzV…
This is how my mind works… when I opened this video it didn’t calm me at all, all I could think was “this is the first note of the main synth riff of HYFR by Drake ft Lil Wayne” 😭
this sound blocks your brain from overthinking:

No sound has been shown to block overthinking. Some auditory stimuli may modestly aid relaxation or focus for some people per limited studies, but the claim and before-after visuals are not supported as real effects or scans.

Billy Evans comes from one of the richest families in SD and the first time we met when we were 17 he tried to scam me with a fake $100 bill. I later DJ’d his 18th birthday party and his dad went through my gear bag and yelled at me for sneaking in a 40 lol (Mormon family)
beautiful song, thoughtful and restrained arrangement. love the 2nd verse especially and the lovely synth melody in the bridge. always consistent, Tate remains one of the best of the newgen pop girls!!
I’ve got to be honest, there’s something really enchanting about the weird edits of movies and TV shows where they cut out all the dead air and add filters. I find myself watching crap I would never be curious about in the first place. People really found a formula with that.
