BREAKING NEWS: Northern Iron and Machine will close its metal foundry on St. Paul’s East Side, the company says. The move comes after years of community activism and legal fights with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
The news is shocking. Just last week the company’s lawyers argued that an administrative law judge should toss out the MPCA’s attempt to revoke the foundry’s permit during a hearing packed with eastsiders. sahanjournal.com/news/northe…
