Every dollar taken illicitly from a country means one less school, hospital or basic social amenities to the citizens of such country. This training is an opportunity to discuss the challenges and difficulties that affects our collective fight and equip ourselves to address them

Hon. Kapera: This training is not only timely but a great opportunity to bring to the limelight the challenges our continent is facing with regards to illicit financial flows, especially within the extractives sector which is characterized by corruption, profit shifting, inflated risk premiums, and unsustainable debt levels impacting on her socio-economic development

Today, on Africa Human Rights Day, we reflect on the rights and freedoms guaranteed under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. But protecting those rights also means asking how people can access #justice when those #rights are violated.
On 26 October, join us and the @court_afchpr for "A Frank Talk with the Citizens," a virtual colloquium marking 20 years since the Court’s first judges were sworn in.
How can access to the Court be improved? What can be done to strengthen state compliance with its decisions? What should the next 20 years look like?
Bring your perspectives to this important discussion on the future of #humanrights protection in #Africa.
