My grandpa introduced me to that, so when he passed away, I kind of like lost it mentally because he was my father figure pretty much my whole life. I stopped playing sports and was going down a really bad, dark path. I get to high school, I was just goofing off. I don't really care about anything. I'm not playing no sports, I just had nothing. I went back to working at a warehouse job and then I got forced again by my mom to go play at a camp in New York. It was like a Dominican camp and I got recognized there. Got an offer from a JUCO in Arizona Western and that kind of started my basketball journey."
