This is a modification work to my Quansheng UV-K18, adding SI4732 flex and flash the IOTCU firmware to enable short wave receiving features, an easy job.
Inspired by OM0ET's YouTube sharing, I also assembled an open source mobile whip antenna designed by skuep, it significantly improves the short wave signal strength and performance is great.

Recently I designed 2 simple power converter boards for my PXIe-5644R backplane, thus a 12V switching adapter can be used as input and generates necessary 5V and 3.3V voltages, validation showed they both work well, here ZXDN10S1205SAW and TPS54627 are used as DC-DC converters.
Not too much efforts was made before this PXIe-5644R did signal generation and analysis, just connected 2 SATA power cables and 1 SFF-8643 cable carrying PCIe from Intel NUC PC. I've installed NI RFmx suite, plenty of resources to explore. This guy is really hot while working...
Here comes the new toy~got an used PXIe-5644R from NI, plan to dock it with the backplane designed by Marsupilami and try some RF input and output soon~

Introduced a 30 year-old HP 33120A function generator to my lab, IC date code shows it's manufactured in 1996, but still works nicely after some simple cleaning and maintenance.
Just out of curiosity and created a prototype of SCD30 CO2 sensor with arduino, this little sensor from Sensirion can measure CO2 ppm with a cool method of optical absorption, and also output temperature, relative humidity values at the same time.
Recent assembly of a UHF turnstile antenna referring to Alicja' design, measured SWR is ~1.8 from 430~440MHz.

Finally I finished the assembly and debug of 6GHz LibreVNA, which tooks me almost half a year due to shortage of ICs, anyway, it works fine now.
LibreVNA is an open source 100KHz to 6GHz usb based VNA, more information can be found here
