Got a text from another personnel executive this morning, noting that this is the third straight QB class that has had similar problems.
The 2027 QB draft class was expected to be loaded. Now it’s getting messy. And it’s not just an Arch Manning problem. From NFL Blue Book… nflbluebook.com/p/week-7-rec…
Three pages of what reads like AI-generated slop just to tell us absolutely NOTHING. Lol. Who the hell approved this? This is lazy, insulting, and quite frankly embarrassing.
I’m so damn tired of watching the people running Florida State confuse indecision with patience and incompetence with being methodical.
We don’t need another statement telling us you understand our frustration. WE KNOW YOU KNOW. We need you to grow a pair and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
And this bullshit about making the right decisions in the right order? Give me a break. You don’t get credit for being deliberate when your inability to make a decision is actively destroying the program.
Look at our recruiting class. Look at the roster. Look at the complete lack of player development. You cannot keep treating the transfer portal like an annual emergency room and pretend that’s a sustainable way to build a championship program. The portal is supposed to supplement your roster, not serve as your entire damn recruiting strategy.
And here’s what really pisses me off. Every day you drag your feet, you’re screwing BOTH Mike Norvell and whoever eventually replaces him.
If you believe in Mike, give him the money, resources and institutional support to succeed. But if you see what the rest of America sees, then have the balls to cut bait.
Personally, I think we’re WELL past the point of salvaging this tenure.
And whoever comes next deserves more than inheriting another unnecessary disaster because the adults in charge were too scared to make a difficult decision.
The next coach needs time to evaluate the roster, determine who stays and who goes, assemble a staff, establish relationships with high school recruits and get ahead of portal negotiations that are ALREADY happening.
You cannot do all that shit in two weeks in December.
And yes, there’s a national championship-winning coach who knows Tallahassee, knows the recruiting footprint, understands the expectations and has already demonstrated he can win at the highest level here. You can debate whether Jimbo is the answer, but acting like that experience wouldn’t be valuable right now is ridiculous.
Whether it’s Jimbo or somebody else, GIVE THE NEXT MAN A DAMN CHANCE.
And spare me the financial excuses. Every decision has a cost, including doing absolutely nothing. Lost recruiting classes, declining attendance, donor fatigue and another year of roster turnover all have financial consequences. Avoiding a buyout today doesn’t mean you’re saving money tomorrow.
That’s not financial discipline. That’s kicking the can down the road and hoping somebody else deals with the consequences.
I’m tired of watching Florida State operate like we’re afraid of our own expectations.
Three national championships. A national fanbase. One of the most recognizable brands in college football. And somehow we’re begging our own administration to act like winning actually matters.
And don’t you dare hide behind the players. Those young men deserve our FULL support. But supporting them doesn’t mean we have to tolerate the incompetence of the people making decisions above them.
Stop with the bullshit statements. Stop hoping things magically fix themselves. Stop embarrassing yourselves and, by extension, the rest of us.
Do your damn jobs. Make the big-boy decisions you’re paid to make. And if you don’t have the stomach for it, maybe somebody else needs to start making decisions about YOUR future.
This is Florida State. Start acting like it.

Following the inner workings of Athletes First, I’ll co-sign the shit out this just because of them. Their track record is legit, they don’t miss
Hey man, just a general PSA since apparently it bears repeating:
If you wouldn’t have the conviction to say it to my face, don’t expect me to entertain it behind a keyboard. I’m not going back and forth with internet courage. You can take that energy straight to my spam folder, lol.

Caleb Wilson is going right at the Celtics. Zero fear.
It's pretty incredible how comfortable he's gotten in just four games. You can already see him reading the floor better.

Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. hasn't been scared to get a shot up 😯
He's averaging 24.3 FGA through three games this season 👀
We will look back and call it malpractice that this kid sat on the bench for the people he sat behind.
Podcasters will tell you it’s cap, but the reality is he is a generational talent, or else this type of agency doesn’t show him the time of day.
