I’m deeply disturbed by tonight’s incident at Central Synagogue, where Shabbat services were disrupted and members of the congregation and security team were assaulted. We’ve been in contact with the @NYPDnews and appreciate the swift response that brought the individual into custody. Incidents like this are painful and traumatizing for so many, and only deepen the fear many are already feeling. Every New Yorker has the right to worship in peace and safety.

- Raise the minimum wage - Lower taxes for 99% of Americans - Build more housing on transportation corridors - Increase funding in renewable energy - Invest in small businesses - Ban Congressional stock trades We can get these done if Democrats have the courage to act when we get control of Congress. If you're ready for a politician to take action and not just make promises, check out our campaign. Jakeforcongress.com

While @BradSherman stayed in DC for yet another weekend, I traveled across the 32nd District to attend 3 amazing #NoKings protests in Studio City, Woodland Hills, and Topanga Canyon today. From Laurel Canyon to Topanga Canyon, the 32nd was energized and came together to defend our democracy and our constitution. But our Congressman didn’t show up. This district deserves better.

This is some serious word salad to avoid admitting he wasn't in the district today.
Today, I joined two-thirds of my daughters, Lucy and Naomi, and Studio City resident and constituent @BillNye to rally against America’s Chief Monarchist, #DonaldTrump. When her life-saving oxygen supply was cut off, Pe Kha Lu died as a result of the slashed USAID programs, the first woman to die at the hands of #ElonMusk and Donald Trump. Now is the time to raise our voices. #NoKingsDay

Current scene in downtown LA on Los Angeles outside the federal building. Protests are loud but peaceful, and California national Guard in front of the building.

Young leaders are ready to carry the torch—if the current gatekeepers will pass it. @MalloryMcMorrow, @jake_rakov & @KatAbughazaleh are bringing fresh ideas, lived experience & inclusive policy to Congress. Let’s channel that energy locally too. source: bit.ly/43AyeQD

A fantastic weekend at the California Democratic Convention in Anaheim. Had so many great conversations about the need for new voices in the party. It's going to take all of us to make actual change happen. Gotta play the game to change the game.

Young Democratic candidates are launching primary bids for national office in hopes of charting a new path forward for a party in disarray. PBS News spoke with three of those candidates, Mallory McMorrow, Jake Rakov and Kat Abughazaleh, about what they think the Democratic Party needs to do to win.

As the Democratic Party takes stock of the first 100 days of the Trump administration and the upcoming 2026 midterm elections, a slate of political newcomers are challenging longtime incumbents and calling for generational change within the party. abcnews.link/M5Emo98

Check out my interview with @alexwagner on her @MSNBC podcast about the change I and others are running on bringing to Congress. "Congressman Sherman was elected in 1996 when I was 8 years old. He is still operating like it's 1996.” open.spotify.com/episode/0xi…

In case anyone still thought we aren't dealing with an unhinged administration led by a guy playing pretend dictator. Using the federal government to unjustifiably target your political opponents is a pretty glaring red line. politico.com/news/2025/04/24…

Had a great conversation yesterday on @Majority54 podcast with @JasonKander and @RaviMGupta about why getting new voices in Congress is so important to fight back against Trump and the chaos his administration is causing. Watch it here: youtube.com/live/ViVz32V-9NQ…
