Pit stops are still rolling. To everybody still out there finishing up — thank you for the long hours. Keep pushing, you're almost there.

Beck's corn numbers from the Goehner/Beaver Crossing area: 🌽6216PCE went 279 bu/ac over 52 acres 🌽6075PCE went 266 bu/ac over 52 acres 🌽6258V4P went 240 bu/ac over 45 acres — fair amount of dryland in that one What are you seeing for corn?

Harvest pit stops are in full swing. If you haven't seen us yet, throw us a text and we'll find you in the field. Thank you to everyone out there putting in the long hours this harvest. We know it's been a grind this fall. Keep pushing, you're in the home stretch.

Happy Farmers Day to the growers who are truly outstanding in their field. 🥁 Thanks for the long days and full bins — we're grateful to work alongside you. #FarmersDay #HerestotheFarmer #Harvest26

81.6 bushels. On dryland. Read that again. Beck's 2009XF — the 2.0s — just went 81.6 bu/ac at 12.7% moisture in Seward County. 2.0. #20. Johnny Rodgers. Coincidence??? We think not. 😏 Like the Jet himself, these beans left the competition in the aisle. 😤

Weather update, and for once it's the good kind. ☀️ The combines roll. Just what the doctor ordered after one of the wettest Septembers on record. One heads-up: it cools off a bit around Oct 11–12, so if you've got beans ready, don't sit on them. #harvest26 #nebraskaag

The remnants of Hurricane Polo dropped 3–5" on Seward County overnight — flash flood warning in SE Seward until 2 AM, flooding near Beaver Crossing. Low-lying acres under water? Hold off on equipment; watch for lodging as it dries. Want a second set of eyes? We're here.

Quality Control is hard at work. Delayne remains difficult to manage.

Help settle our debate. Harvest snack showdown. Delayne: Dill pickle chips + Ruby Red Squirt Lucas: No Man’s Land Hot beef jerky Who wins? Or if they’re both wrong, drop your superior cab snack in the comments.

A lot of decisions made over the last 12 months are about to get a report card. We’re ready to see what the combines have to say. 😤 How’s the drydown looking in your fields, and when are you hoping to fire up the combine?

Just because the surface looks wet doesn’t mean your soil profile is full. Saturated soils ribbon out instead of crumbling, and our probes show the difference. At 2–3 feet, this profile is only about 50% saturated, while the top 12 inches show 65%.

Anthracnose and tar spot are causing some issues, and we're seeing differences in how hybrids are holding up. Take a walk through your fields and figure out which ones need to be prioritized first. It’s better to make the harvest plan now than after corn starts going down.

Labor Day looks a little different when the work never really stops. Hats off to the farmers, applicators, and everyone in ag who keep putting in the effort. Enjoy some well-earned rest today! –Lucas & Delayne

Hybrid selection matters. These two hybrids are in the same field, under the same farming practices, and both received fungicide at VT. The difference in how they’re handling tar spot is pretty hard to miss. Fungicide matters, but starting with the right hybrid matters too.

Can’t resist a dad joke. Our wives and kids love it.

With all the moisture we've had lately, it may be worth taking another look before making that last irrigation pass. A lot of fields may already have enough to finish out. Check what you've got before automatically firing the pivot back up.
