See. This here is the problem. The getaway weekend isn't about YOU. Your friend wants you to show up for HER. Why are you trying to make yourself the center of your friend's life because you have kids? Your husband cannot look after the kids? Are you a single mom?😭

You guys have kids and then make them your entire personality. Now when those kids grow up and leave home you start malfunctioning because you've become so dependent on their dependence that you no longer see yourself (and them) as a separate person.
