The lady crowdfunding for Alimat said that since she started, she has received DMs from FIFTEEN Muslim women who have been in similar situation.
We are talking about a systemic issue, you're here waiting to 'hear from the other side'. If you don't get out of my face!
Abu wo come out with your full face , what’s all these hiding for.
Come out no one will beat you, let’s talk about releasing their passports, you go do jail o.
The lady said, they always argue over cooking.
What about sex in this cold environment. For ladies that withholds sex anyhow. That can be your greatest offence to your man.
When the husband sent you Gheerah message, he has reached breaking point.
Immidiately, call him, beg him.... Apologise, Re-strategise. But no, U dey form yanga.
The man knows you than anyone. And he knows you being in that home with him. He could retailiate one day and be in Prison.
So HE DID THE BEST.
When Muslim sister goes “Fuck that sh!t” just know e don be for u be that.
Me I sha know Islam is never a shield for oppression and will never be!!! Muslim women know your right!
You don’t need to feel guilty about seeking justice legally where there’s evidence to back up oppression, cruelty, abuse or injustice. Fight like your life depends on it.
In surah al-mujadilah(can’t remember the verse but I can find it), Allah acknowledges the plea of a woman that brought her marital grievance before the prophet (S.A.W). Her voice was heard and her complaint was part of the Quran.
My point is, your grievances matters. Injustice in marriage should not be concealed, silenced nor dismissed.
Don’t let anyone bullshit you with digital footprint and how the internet will never forget. Fuck that sh!t.
Fa inna ma’al ‘usri yusrah- with hardship comes ease.

My ex-husband did same. Sent me rubbish on WhatsApp, I demanded that I be served the papers the right way or I would approach the court. He then filed a REAL court petition. Next, I filed a cross petition and won 3 years later. I will not be kind to the point of enabling a bully.
