“In race talk the move into mainstream America always means buying into the notion of American Blacks as the real aliens. Whatever the ethnicity or nationality of the immigrant, his nemesis is understood to be African American.”
- Toni Morrison
(On the Backs of Blacks)
True, but let's not kid ourselves. They would've been a slave to some other white group's interests.

Is Trump the reason y'all be on here asking the dumbest questions about Americans? Y'all stay in American business no matter the topic cause you're obsessed with us.

She and we hoped them whole folks would finally embrace her ugly, bigoted azz after Wicked and all we see are more supporting roles cosplaying as the Black Americans she calls racial slurs.

I'm at a screening of Clayface. The seating chart shows it's almost full. The theater in reality is empty except for me. I see this all the time with movies. Suspicious.
Trump retaliated against more than 700K Black Women voters by destroying their careers and earnings of a majority group of breadwinners.
The biggest mistake was Janet giving them white people the opportunity to sabotage her and thinking they mattered at all! Or had her back.
And she's had a decade to contemplate it, sadly.
How nice you can be so lazy.

They always have. I thank God they have always been steady and true in defending democracy in our land despite not having the greatest choices.
This is why people need HANDLERS.
Anyway, now more people who never paid attention to you know what a jerk you are.

Africans are not Black Americans. Black Americans are not African. There is nothing wrong or insulting about facts and truth.

I accomplished my civic duty once again. I saw one of my neighbors working the polls as she always does. She's in her nineties and has lived in NYC all her life. Her parents were part of the Great Migration. People like her are my inspiration.

TimberSNAKE was hell bent on pulling shenanigans at the expense of other women in the business.
1. Used his breakup with Britney to trash her
2. Grabbed Kylie Minogue's butt during a performance
3. Ripped off Janet's costume
Janet Jackson says Justin Timberlake was only supposed to rip off the outer layer of her costume at the 2004 Super Bowl. He ripped off more and exposed her breast on live TV. More than 500,000 people complained to the FCC. CBS was fined $550,000. His career kept going.
It was February 1, 2004, in Houston. The last line of the song he was singing was "gonna have you naked by the end of this song." She says they rehearsed it, and that the plan was to leave a red layer showing underneath. She says more came off than was supposed to.
A day later she apologized on camera. She says her management told her to, and that she asked them what she was apologizing for, since it was an accident. CBS and MTV reportedly blacklisted her. The NFL was reportedly asked to refund $10 million to the halftime sponsor.
Her next album, Damita Jo, sold about 1 million copies, far fewer than her last two. In 2018 Timberlake headlined a Super Bowl halftime show of his own.
Two years after the show she told Oprah it was the first and last time she would talk about it. She said all the emphasis was put on her, not on him. She said that to a degree, yes, he left her hanging.
By then Timberlake had said he probably got 10% of the blame. He also said America is harsher on women, and harsher on ethnic people.
He says he got 10% of the blame. She took the other 90%.
Was Janet Jackson punished for an accident, or did she walk into a stunt that always had a price?

Black children are never too young to suffer on the job, so you’re never too young to have some wisdom about racism in the entertainment industry.
