No bone in this piece cuts the paint. Thirtysix control points sit inside the body, and the paint is stretched between them on a fine mesh, the way skin moves over muscle. The feet and the back knee are pinned to the floor. The hips lead the push, the back follows, the shoulder drops and the arm drives the block forward. The head does not wobble. It is carried by the neck and bows slightly into the effort.

A long time coming! The entire Ruminations series now live on @SuperRare 🖤🍂 I just minted the remaining 4 works in celebration of the series’ exhibition (see below).
Ruminations" includes the works “Eye of the beholder” (2020), “Into your light” (2020), “Uncertain waters” (2018), “Time heals” (2018), “Glooming” (2017), and “Locked away IV” (2020).
It is a collection of works that has arisen over time, with the individual works interconnected by an intense focus on feeling, sensing and being.
"Ruminations on time, space and body" explores how the body becomes a vessel for memory when language falters - and how photography can function as a tool for slowing down, holding, and witnessing experiences that resist clear articulation.
The series invites the viewer into a contemplative space where time is felt rather than measured, and where emotional and physical states are allowed to remain unresolved.

Bundespräsident Van der Bellen hat offenbar noch immer nicht verstanden, dass der islamistische Terror die größte Gefahr für uns alle ist. Aber das verwundert mich nicht. Wir alle erinnern uns noch an seine Aussage, wonach man alle Frauen bitten wird müssen, ein Kopftuch zu tragen – aus Solidarität gegenüber jenen, die es aus religiösen Gründen tun. Seit damals hat der Bundespräsident nichts dazugelernt.
Hätte Israel einen Präsident mit einer derart naiven Einstellung gegenüber dem Islamismus wie Van der Bellen, wäre es um Israel schon längst geschehen. Die Aussagen Van der Bellens bei der UN-Versammlung in New York sind daher in keinster Weise akzeptabel und gerechtfertigt.
