Nearly two decades is a long time to carry a ghost.
Some stories never really leave you. They follow you home, sit beside you in empty rooms, ride shotgun on long drives, and find their way back in the quiet moments when you think youāve finally moved on.
This is one of those stories.
What began during my time at the Air Force Academy became a battle that would shape the rest of my life. A journey through loss, betrayal, war, faith, resilience, and an unwavering determination to keep moving forward no matter how hard the road became. To become the change you desire to see in the world.
There were easier paths.
I never chose them.
The Guy in the Yellow Tie isnāt about revenge. Itās about endurance. Itās about carrying the weight of the past, facing hard truths, and surviving long enough to find your way back to who you really are.
I wrote this book to finally close a chapter that remained open for nearly twenty years and to put down a burden Iāve carried for far too long.
The past always gets a vote. But it doesnāt get the final say.
This is that story.
The Guy in the Yellow Tie.
Available now on Amazon in Hardcover, Paperback, and eBook.

Many ask God for grace, then many deny it to everyone else. Even saints fell. What matters is having the courage to get back up and choose God again.
Your worst chapter doesnāt have to be your last.

They're right, it is Bullsh*t that a 3-star General in a position of very high trust, leaked classified information about the Iran war and the Ulraine mess to the media. thats the BS and you know what, if he were an E-4 he would be in solitary confinement awaiting trial and then spend the rest of his life in a supermax, but I digress.
Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia's dismissal has generated widespread anger and frustration at top level of the Army. A common refrain today from active and retired senior Army officers: "This is Bulls**t!" h/t @nancyayoussef nytimes.com/2026/10/29/us/heā¦
I wrote this book because I lived it, I was there, and the truth deserved to be told.
If you donāt write your story, a thousand other people will; and do so incorrectly. I learned that when I ran for office. So, this is my actual life story that most people do not know. Buckle up.
Fighting USAFA and massively corrupt institutional power was not on my list of ambitions when I was 18 years old. I never imagined it would become a #1 international bestseller.
To everyone who bought āThe Guy in the Yellow Tieā, shared it, or believed in me when it would have been easier to walk away, thank you. This means more than you know.
If youāre fighting your own battle right now, I hope my story gives you a reason to keep going. Your hardest chapter doesnāt have to be your last. We can fix our federal service academies, we can fix our military, we can desire and implement institutional change. But it starts with you. Itās going to take sacrifice. You will fail. You will be attacked. You will sacrifice friends, family, and relationships along the way. But if you donāt do it, who will?
Change, whether itās the military or in your own life, starts with you. No one is coming. Itās up to us.
Never quit. šŗšø

Do you know how many millions a brand like @redbaronpizza spends on marketing in a year?
How much do you think this guy owes on his mortgage? Letās say ~$300k.
Option A: Red Baron does nothing. This becomes a reflection of them. At minimum, they lose some sales and leak market share.
Option B: They spend $300k and pay off this manās mortgage. Worst case, they capture millions of impressions across socials. Best case, they capture tens of thousands of new consumers that are going to remember what they did for this guy every single time theyāre choosing between Red Baron and DiGiorno.
You canāt buy marketing opportunities like this. Cut the man a check.

Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot.
Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.
"I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..."
"I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."
Never in my life did I imagine Iād become an international bestselling author, or that my story would resonate with so many people. Iām genuinely humbled and grateful.
One thing Iāve learned, especially recently, is that there are some truly evil people in this world who will do anything to destroy you to protect a broken system.
If you donāt write your own story, a thousand other people will, and theyāll get it wrong.
Thatās why I wrote āThe Guy in the Yellow Tieā. I lived it. I was there. The people trying to discredit it werenāt. Iām ready to put a pin in it and live the second half of my life and keep this in the rear view mirror and keep my focus on the windshield in front of me.
To everyone who has read my book, shared it, or reached out, THANK YOU. I never expected this kind of support, and it means more than you know.
For the rest of this week, the Kindle edition is just $0.99. Help me get this story into the hands of people who need to hear it. Together, we can make a difference.

One of my good friends, MAJ George Hayworth of the Present Fathers Podcast, whom I had the pleasure of sitting down with for an interview last year, said this perfectly.
No matter how much you accomplish, how many people you help, or how much good you try to put into the world, there will always be people determined to tear you down out of jealousy, bitterness, or pure spite. Iāve certainly learned that lesson firsthand.
Your time is one of the most valuable things you possess, and so are your knowledge, energy, and willingness to help others. Be careful who you give them to. Not everyone deserves a seat at your table, access to your life, or even the satisfaction of a response.
Surround yourself with people who build, encourage, and celebrate the success of others. Keep doing good, keep moving forward, and let the bitter people waste their own time.
You donāt have to attend every argument youāre invited to. Ignore the noise. Life is too short, and thereās too much good left to do.
If you havenāt had the opportunity to watch my conversation with George on the Present Fathers Podcast, check out both parts below.

Tesla just showed a car that flies and does kickflips over trucks.
The internet's response? Mockery.
If people will mock a flying car, they will mock you.
When you try to better yourself, you become a mirror. People see their own excuses in you, and instead of changing, they tear you down.
So guard who gets your time. Bitter people don't deserve it.
Find the builders. Push each other. Celebrate each other's wins.

JUST IN: Elon Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster by launching it off a ramp before the car flipped in midair and safely landed on the ground.
The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX.
One of the most insane things I've ever seen.
As I prepare to turn 39 and attend my 20th high school reunion, Iāve been reflecting on the suffering, loss, and unexpected turns that shaped who I am. I wouldnāt wish some of it on anyone, but Iām grateful it never took away my faith or willingness to help others.
Iāve spent years asking God why. Now Iām learning to simply say thank you.
Thank God for the Suffering.

Iāve got the perfect solution to Brightonās data center crisis!
BAN THE DATA CENTERS! š«
Replace them with outdoor concert venues, weekly Monster Jam events, and a beautiful 30-well oil and gas super pad. šŗšø
Nothing says protecting our peaceful rural communities quite like 10,000 screaming concertgoers, monster trucks launching through the air, and drilling rigs running around the clock. For America šŗšø
Think of the peace and quiet! Think of the property values! Think of the children!
Surely the anti-development crowd will support these environmentally friendly, noise-conscious alternatives.
After all, this was never about stopping economic development, right? š
