The Rwanda partnership was cancelled by @UKLabour.
That means tens of thousands more people accessing our asylum system.
So, where is @YvetteCooperMP going to send people to? Reading? Rochdale? Richmond?
Only one thing is clear.
Starmer and Cooper have no plan.

We're cutting taxes again, with a further 2% cut in National Insurance - from 12% in November to 8% in April.
Taken together with the measures at the Autumn Statement, that means someone on the average salary will save around £900 a year.

We’re increasing the threshold at which parents start paying the High Income Child Benefit Charge, from £50,000 to £60,000.
Making almost half a million families better off by an average of almost £1300 per household.

Debt relief order £90 charge to be cancelled. Also GOOD NEWS (its a Citizens Advice call).
Simplifying, these are a sort of easier form of bankruptcy for those with limited assets. The fact you have to pay for it has been a barrier to people who need help getting help. Very pleased to see the charge gone. #Budget2024 #BudgetXplanations

From today, 27 million working people will pay less tax.
It’s taken tough decisions to get to a place where we can cut tax responsibly but as soon as we could, we have.
Conservatives believe in low taxes. If we can go further this year, responsibly and sustainably, we will.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tax has not been cut.
The OBR states that the freeze to tax thresholds this Parliament will be worth the equivalent of a 10p increase in the main rate of NICs by 2028/29. Against Sunak's cut to NICs of 2p, an 8p increase. Meaning tax has risen, and will continue to rise.

📣 SAVE OUR CENTRE 📣
Along with Cllr Adam Gregg I joined protesters today marching from Batley Sports Centre to dewsbury town hall campaigning against the closure of our sports centres, care homes and other public facilities.

Yesterday I presented a petition signed by over 8000 people to council with Howden Clough JFC and my family watching. We will continue to fight any proposed closure of our sports centre and hold the labour administration in Kirklees to account.

Great last night at the Al Hikmah Centre. Along with @AdamGregg and Mark Thompson we joined residents to express our concerns in the closure of our leisure facilities. While Conservative councillors fight hard to keep our centres open, no Labour councillors were in sight.

Final stop on my West Yorkshire campaign trail is Labour-held Huddersfield.
We got Labour’s majority down to below 5,000 in 2019 and it would be great to win the constituency of Harold Wilson!

Now in Kirkheaton, Huddersfield, with our candidate @AdamGregg.
