South Island inspired comm for @CyphrRedgrave!
Pour rappel, il a gagné son procès en diffamation ! Johnny Depp a utilisé les fausses accusations d'Amber Heard comme preuve de sa propre innocence. Vous défendez une salope de mytho perverse narcissique et violente.

“Even though his life was short, baby Charlie deserved every minute.”
How could you say this when the only minutes he endured outside of the womb were full of suffering?
His survival through PAIN was only used to provide comfort for the mother.
This is supposed to be pro life?
Doctors recommended abortion for baby Charlie.
His parents refused.
Baby Charlie survived for 2 hours outside of the womb.
He felt his mother hold his hand.
He opened his eyes.
He breathed on his own.
He reacted to his parents’ touch.
He even cried after it was said he wouldn’t.
Even though his life was short, baby Charlie deserved every minute.

I agree that Sonic's behavior during Metal Virus is perfectly understandable given the sheer physical and psychological exhaustion he's experiencing
But I don't understand why we're acting like this is somehow exclusive to Archie Sonic LMAOO
Game Sonic isn't some emotionally invulnerable monolith incapable of frustration, desperation or making questionable decisions under pressure
Archie simply had more opportunities to explore those aspects of his character. That doesn't mean they were fundamentally absent from his game counterpart
And just because Metal Virus originated as an Archie concept doesn't automatically mean every characterization decision was carried over unchanged
'Sonic can't break down i-it's OOC, h-HE Sshould be cocky and confident all the time, never having doubt!!!!'

This is an amazing example, because sonic fans LOVE to say how shonen-like used to be. They even parralel Sonic with characters like Goku and Luffy, especially Luffy since he and Sonic have very similar themes of freedom.
Here is Luffy, a static freedom loving protagonist similar to Sonic. He lost his crew. He's crying, breaking down. Saying 'what's wrong with me'. It's certainly a bit out of character for the relentless, determined spirit that Luffy has.
And he's here bashing his head against the floor, crying his eyes out, a STATIC CHARACTER btw.
Imagine if a scene like this happened in idw or a sonic game? Sonic twitter would be up in flames. It's clear alot of sonic twitter really just lacks media literacy, even of the so called series they say Sonic 'gets inspiration from'.

Just because a character reacts differently doesn't mean it is gonna change them differently. People keep using Luffy as an example when discussing Sonic's character but there were moments where Luffy didn't always act the same way despite Luffy being a static character.

I'm gonna get lynched for giving my opinion as a more casual Sonic fan but I don't get why this one panel causes so much controversy.
Yes, I get that Sonic is a character who usually has unwavering confidence, but isn't that kinda the point? That this is a rare exception?

Okay— So I 100% agree with OP here. Yes, Sonic should always have an unbreakable spirit, and keep going no matter what. But the fact of the matter is, he is a living person, not a fairytale. He should always inspire, but he should also feel like a character with real emotions.

I love ya, but I gotta disagree with this
1) Sonic is confident ALL THE TIME
2) Sonic is at most, unsure of what to do and snaps back in the next panel
3) The coyote catching Roadrunner feels like a false equivalency, as that’s a plot point more than a character trait
Replying to @Danny8bit
"What if Sonic doubted himself and started losing his confidence" is basically like going "What if Wile E. Coyote caught the Roadrunner"
it's just not meant to be the point of the characters

I just find the idea that Sonic should never allow to have bad feelings ever is objectively silly. I could understand him not cracking and putting on a brave face for his friends and family but he can't even feel slightly dejected for 3 panels or its over?
