Adedoyin my sister,
Do not forget that these people are a couple. They know each other better than any of us ever could. It is neither our place nor fair to paint one person as the villain and automatically assume the other is an angel.
Mind you, throughout the series of videos Alima released, she made several allegations against her husband, yet she did not present a single piece of evidence to substantiate most of them, apart from one screenshot attached to one of her videos. And that alone is not enough to establish all the allegations and accusations she made against him.
She came out, made videos, cried, and told her side of the story. Men and women alike sympathised with her, and almost everyone concluded that her husband was a bad person. Yet, most of us had not seen any substantial evidence to support the allegations. We simply believed her account.
Now, the husband has also presented his side of the story through a third party. He made several allegations against Alima and stated that if he was lying, she could come out and deny his claims, after which he would release his evidence.
For someone who had the time and opportunity to make videos in several episodes to explain her side of the story, I would have expected Alima to come out, address the husband’s allegations, and challenge the claims she believes to be false but she didn’t yet she’s active on her social media pages.
Among other things, the husband accused her of having multiple abortions, secretly planning to accuse him of rape, never contributing financially to the family, and failing to take adequate care of their children. These are serious allegations, and I am not saying they are true. They need to be examined fairly rather than accepted or dismissed without evidence, especially when he said he has evidence for all of these and challenged Alima to deny it if they are not true.
My question is simple: when Alima made her allegations, why didn’t we demand evidence before believing her, yet now that her husband has made his own allegations, we suddenly insist on evidence and are quick to call him a liar?
Why should the standard of evidence change depending on whose side of the story we hear first?
The husband has also challenged Alima to deny his allegations, promising to present evidence if she does. That does not automatically make his claims true, but neither should we dismiss them simply because we sympathised or take side with Alima.
We must understand that hearing someone’s story, no matter how emotional or convincing it sounds, does not necessarily mean we have heard the whole truth.
We should not automatically believe one person’s account without evidence and then demand evidence from the other person before giving them the same benefit of the doubt.
These are two people who were married and shared a life together. We are outsiders, and we do not know everything that happened behind closed doors.
My position is simple: let both parties be heard, let their claims be examined fairly, and let evidence speak where it is available. Neither person should be condemned simply because the public has already chosen a side.
This is a dispute between two people, and fairness to both of them is the most reasonable approach. We can sympathise with someone’s pain without automatically accepting every allegation they make.
Fairness means applying the same standard to both sides, even when we sympathise more with one person than the other.

Stop it now.
Who goes to chat gpt on their partners phone?
Why didn’t he take a picture for evidence?
For someone that barely communicated in the house.
They needed something to paint her bad so much.

If there’s that clip I’ll never get tired of, it should be this🥹❤️

And we should not forget. Neither Alimah, nor the husband has tendered evidence against one another.
It’s all just word of mouth, third party reports, tears and emotions.

According to Alima, when he allegedly tricked her into Nigeria, and they were lodged in Ibadan; they had sex before she left for her parents’ house in Osun and he returned to the UK. Upon his arrival in the UK, he sent her a divorce letter.
If that claim is true, then under Islamic law, the husband negates the order of Allah in verse 229 of Surah Baqorah.
You cannot divorce a woman in that manner.

Alima’s husband said he found on her phone, that she’s asking chatGPT how she can accuse him of rape and use that to get a visa but in a way he’ll not be sent into prison, and that Alima sent the response she got from chatGPT to someone.
He said he has evidence for this and that if he’s lying, Alima should deny it.
If this claim is true, then Alima has an explanation to make as well.

Alima’s husband allegedly said she never paid a dime from his school fees as she claimed, and she never paid rent or even supported him with it, that he paid everything himself.
I have been in the UK for a a little over 3yrs and that part of the story sounds unrealistic to me, because for a student doing 20hrs job a week, it’s likely going to be impossible to pay your own school fees by yourself, no 20hrs job plus a side job will pay your school fees and feeding.
As couples living together in the UK, it’s almost impossible for a wife not to make any contributions to the house, no matter how little. Even amongst the British who are entitled to a lot of benefits and are more privileged, not to talk of immigrants who travel to seek greener pastures.
