76 miles of Kick Scooting. Luton to Clacton.

The River Chelmer, at Dunmow Essex. Looking good. The Lea at Luton and Clipstone Brook at Leighton Buzzard are all but dried up.

Have to show some appreciation for the scenery here. The Essex Delta! Colchester to Wivenhoe. And a ride alongside the Colne Estuary.

Made it the coast on a kick scooter. Two day tour starting from Luton, finishing in Clacton on Sea.

People love to bang on about what offends them. I’m offended by this. Beautiful example of Victorian Railway Architecture in a state of dereliction. And now flanked by a wall that looks like it was designed and built by a totalitarian state.

‘I’m on the road again’

Consequences of the heatwave. This is the local storm pond at Caddington Woods. Last year we were having to watch our step as it was a carpet of newts, frogs and baby toads. A few more days and it will be completely dry.

Thanks a lot Dr Beeching. This is where I get off the train. Still. The Kickscooter will manage the rest of the journey to Dunstable.

What’s the story? Was in the area. Had to be done.

Push power to the extreme. I rode a kickscooter through a parched looking Chiltern landscape all the way from Dunstable Beds to Aylesbury Buckinghamshire and back. 40 plus miles. Lots of fun.
