When a product recommendation involves a child’s health, it is more than just a social media post.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued notices to an Instagram influencer and several infant nutrition companies over a “Top 5” list recommending infant formula products. The content allegedly included claims about immunity, brain development, balanced nutrition and easy digestion.
However, a regulatory notice is not the same as a finding of guilt. It gives the parties an opportunity to explain their claims and practices before further action is considered.
For parents, the message is clear: do not rely solely on influencer rankings, sponsored recommendations or impressive marketing claims when making decisions about a child’s nutrition. Seek reliable information and consult a paediatrician about what is appropriate for your child.
Social media can shape consumer choices, but when children’s health is involved, claims must be backed by evidence and comply with the law.

On October 21, 2026, the PHP development team released urgent security updates for two critical vulnerabilities that could allow attackers to run malicious code on affected servers without logging in.
PHP powers a huge number of websites, including many built using WordPress, making this a serious concern for website owners and businesses.
For website owners, the immediate priority is to check their PHP version and apply the relevant security updates.
The fixed releases include PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 and 8.2.35. Older unsupported versions may require migration to a supported release.
Simply waiting or relying on a temporary workaround is not enough.
This is a reminder that cybersecurity is not a one-time task. Regular updates, monitoring and timely security checks are essential to protect websites and the information they handle.

Never sell property or travel long distances based solely on promises made online.
Look for inconsistencies in profiles, images, videos and personal stories.
AI can now generate convincing faces, voices and entire digital personalities. A large following does not establish authenticity, and an attractive profile is not proof of trustworthiness.
As AI-generated content becomes harder to distinguish from reality, digital awareness is no longer optional. It is an essential part of protecting ourselves online.
